Rusheen Major was first to strike when he took the first Semi Final in 28.80. Major pinged from traps and stole an early lead. Westmead Adonis gave us a real fright as he chased Major hard but Major held on to take the race by a short head.
Ballycowen Dave was very brave in the 2nd Semi Final as he rode a bump on the first corner to steal and lead coming out of the second bend. The strong field gave chase but despite their best efforts that could catch him. The winning margin was just a hard fought head in 29.09.
