Bawna Anna Leads Treble

The Mr R Bayliss, owned Bawna Anna landed the Division A Varnell Puppies Open at Monmore this evening. Anna had to show all her guts and determination to battle the early trouble and force her way through on the inside of the field. She kicked again off the last bend to record a time of 29.11 (unadjusted). The photograph left shows the after race presentation. Kiveton Mist rolled back the years when taking the opening race on the card. Mist, approaching his 5th birthday, led from the traps to win in 29.81. Brett Time showed why he is one to follow for 2009 with a stunning win in the A2, 29.11.

Morning Call

A number of the dogs made the most of the drying ground and had a gallop this morning. Our website photographer took a few different shots of which a couple are shown, some will appear in time on the website and a couple were taken for the owners. The dogs shown are Bawna Elsa(first 2), Head iton Paddy, Bookem Danno and Centaur Bliss.

Bookem Wayne

Wayne Mardles Hawaii 501 syndicate lead a fantastic Thursday night treble for us as Bookem Danno won the A3 in 28.74 when blasting out the boxes to lead all the way. Bawna Elsa made it 2 wins from 2 starts when showing some real grit to hang on to a victory in the A4 (Up 2 grades) in 29.08. Coolemount Show is showing she is in great order with herself by winning back to back races, this time in A2 in 28.79 by 6 lengths !!

Burnpark Injured & Saturday Entires

Sadly Burnpark Champ sustained a tendon injury in Wednesdays Trial Stake at Swindon and will now face another spell on the sidelines. It's desperate bad luck as Champ as the ability to be one of the leading dogs in the country.

We have four Open Race entries at Monmore on Saturday, Farran Kate, Bawna Anna, Head iton Tonge and Head iton Tyler.

I have two people ready to join our small select syndicate to purchase Rackethall Hero. Please call this weekend if interested or speak me to me at the track.

The trials at Coventry went as expected, this was most of the dogs first run for six weeks. Rev Counter 17.37, Centaur Marine 17.41, Head iton Paddy 17.67 and Farran Kate 30.23 not great but there first trials in 6 weeks.

Rackethall Hero - For Sale Video

This video shows Rackethall Hero who is currently for sale in the for sale site of the website. Just watch how much ground this lad makes up. A stunning debut. This lad should be another Open Class runner off the dam who has thrown a number of staying Open Racers.

Outreach Photography

This morning we had a visit from Outreach Photography who took a selection of photographs to be used on the website over coming weeks. The pictures attached are of Maltese Jim (Black dog-for sale) & Bourne Breezy (Brindle & White). If any of my owners would like a good photograph with their current dog either contact me directly or drop Outreach an email and we will do our best to sort out a kennel visit.

Breezy for Bourne

Bourne Breezy landed the Arrowsmith 630 Open Race at Monmore this evening. Trapping out well and showing some superb early pace Breezy never saw another dog in the race. The winning time was 38.49 whilst the SP was 5/4. Of the other open race runners Officer Donagh fared best when finishing third in the sprint. On the graded front Annasprida Vieri won her first race when the A8 in 29.36 which was then followed up by Gums N Plums (pictured)winning a hard fought closing race of the evening which was an A4 in a 28.97.

Derby Dog

I have been given first refusal on a dog that will target the English Derby this year. He has a recorded time of 28.64 at Shelboune Park, has won at 3 different tracks, early pace and stays. If you are interested please call me and I can give you more details. Aristo Action has been withdrawn for sale after she picked up an injury before travelling over to us.

No Luck at the Barr

Sadly Head iton Tyler and Vancouver Dylan didn't make the frame last night in very tough races live on Sky.Congratulations to all the connections of Fear Zafonic who impressed everyone and looks to have set the standard for 2009. Jonathan Hobbs kindly mentioned the change of ownership for Tyler and also gave the website a plug which was very nice of him. We have entered 7 dogs for the Open Races at Monmore on Saturday night which looks very competitive.

Wednesday 21 January 2009

Cabra on easy list

Cabra Fly is recovering from having her tonsils out and should be back in action in 3/4 weeks. Hopefully she will be back to top form shortly after.
Many thanks to all those who called about Tyler. A deal was agreed with a new owner which will be hopefully wrapped up shortly.

Tuesday 20 January 2009

Ivanovic News

Droopys Ivanovic made a stunning debut over 6 bends on Boxing Day but has not ran since. Sadly she fractured her hock in the race which makes her win in 38.14 even the more remarkable. She now has just one week left in a cast and fingers crossed she will return as good as ever.

Monday Double

A nice double for us this afternoon at Monmore. Blue Foxy Nicky took advantage of not being upped in grade after her win last week when winning in S2 in 38.64. Will surely be S1 next time. Centaur Bliss then won her first race first for us when leading all the way in the A8. This bitch is for sale at just £300 presuming she stays in the kennel. If she keeps recording the split times she did today (4.19) she should win many more races.

Would you like your own Runner on Sky this Thursday ?

Head iton Tyler (still for sale) made it three wins on the bounce at Coventry when landing the Division A Sprint Open at Coventry last night. As normal he showed he cracking early pace and led all the way to win in 17.05. We have entered him against the countries leading sprinters on the under card to the Birmingham Cup, live on Sky, on Thursday. Also heading to Perry Barr is Vancouver Dylan.

Sunday 18 January 2009

Elsa fles on Debut

Bawna Elsa (pictured) set the tongues wagging on Saturday night as she made a stunning debut when winning the final race on the race, A6, in 28.82. She looks to be a great addition for the kennel.

Maltese Jim gave us our other winner of the night when winning the A2 in 29.04. This was his 5th career win and is a pleasure to have in the kennel. Jim is for sale for just £1000 and could give any new owners instant fun.

Bawna Boy was sadly eliminated from the Birmingham Cup on Friday when he could only finish 4th at Perry Barr.

This evening we head to Coventry Open racing with Head iton Hatton, Officer Donagh, Snugfit Flyer, Nats Jedi and Head iton Tyler.

Friday 16 January 2009

Friday Double & Open Runners

Blue Fox Nicky lead a Friday afternoon double for us today. Racing in S2 company she didn't let the early trouble bother her as she went onto win in 38.71. Ballybough Lady brought the double up when winning the A8 in 29.41.

Bawna Boy heads to Perry Barr tonight for the Semi Final of the William Hill Birmingham Cup. He has manged to get three first round winners in his Semi in which two will qualify.

Bawna Anna makes her debut tomorrow in a Puppy Open at Monmore. She will taking on much more experienced pups so the experience will hopefully do her the world of good. Micks Hope will also take her chance in the Bitches Open.

Coolmount shows her best

Coolemount Show gave the kennel our only winner last night at Monmore in a tough A3. Show kicked clear in the early stages and did not see another dog until the race was won in rapid 28.81. Show is one of the kennels favourites and has now won twelve races for us.

The website has now been live for one week and has been attracting some great reviews. It has managed to attract over 800 different visitors and pick up over 6000 hits. If there is any thing you would like to see on site please speak to me at the track or at the kennels.

Sunday 11 January 2009

Tyler wins again

We will be glad finally when this cold snap finally passes. The dogs have been well wrapped up with sub zero temperatures around the kennels. Open Race Dog for Sale

If anyone is interested in owning an Open race dog then I'm pleased to offer for sale Officer Donagh (Daves Mentor x Knock Princess) January 2007 - for £4,000 presuming he stays in the kennel.

This phenomenal early paced son of Daves Mentor doesn't quite get 480 metres but has proved he has the class to win over shorter trips. As a puppy, he won an Open Race at Sunderland clocking a great 27.32 in his first look round. He then went to Romford for the Coral Puppy Cup winning his first round heat in 24.44 despite getting trouble at the first bend. At just 2 years old, and having had just 11 races, this dog is still open to plenty of improvement which will come with time.

No Luck at Office

Sadly no luck at Monmore this afternoon with our graded runners. The evening at Perry Barr for the William Hill Birmingham Cup saw Bawna Boy (pictured) qualify for the Semi Finals after finishing third behind Shaneboy Luke. Cabra Fly missed her break and could never get never get on terms whilst Vancover Dylan had no chance when a dog inside him checked causing him serious traffic problems and end any chance he had. Can I confirm that Rackethall Hero is still for sale, whilst I have received an offer a deal has not been agreed.

Thursday 8 January 2009

Thursday Double

A tough competitive night of racing tonight at Monmore. We managed to return home with two winners and three seconds. Our first winner of the night was Nifty Farloe won the A2 in a tidy 28.88. Sadly our Hamerjack Boy was injured in the same race. Will post an update on him when possible. Emlys Star made her debut a winning one when winning the A6 in 29.27. This bitch could quickly go through the grades and has a nice Irish card, she is up for sale at the moment so please give me a ring if interested.

Saturday 3 January 2009

Saturday Double

Two winners this evening on a very cold evening in slow going. Direct View showed us some early pace and a brave heart when winning the opening A5 in 29.86. Direct View is currently for sale at just £300 so if you fancy a cheap honest bitch and plenty of fun please call me. Malibu Manners made it a nice double when flying round the inside to take the A7 in 30.11.

Friday 2 January 2009

New Year Monmore Treble

A great start to the New Year as we landed an afternoon treble. Ingys Aphrodite won her 8th race from 51 starts when taking the the S2 in 38.86. Direct Vision quickly made it a double when winning a tough A3 in 29.21. Direct Vision has now worked her way up from A9, she is a game bitch and a pleasure to have in the kennel. Finally Droopys John won the final A2 on the card in 29.00. This was his 16th career win, a super dog who will keep winning his share of races.

Welcome to the new site and 2009

Happy New Year. Welcome to our new website and blog. We will be looking to increase again our number of open race and graded winners in 2009. We finished 2008 with 108 Open Race successes so it will be a tough ask. I can assure you all the team here will be working as hard as ever to ensure our goals are achieved. Many thanks to all my loyal owners whom without their continued support we would be struggle greatly. I'll be trying to update the site with all the news from the track and the kennel. Your feedback would be most welcome.
