Kent Derby kicks off in style

Ballycowen Dave lost his maiden tag in style last night by taking Heat 1 for the John Smiths Kent Derby at Sittingbourne. In Heat 1 Dave showed some nice early pace and got the better of Westmead Shaw by 3/4 in 29.05. Fifis Legend started his campaign well by staying on very strongly to take Heat 6 by 29.14. Rusheen Major snatched a place in the Semi Final by finishing third in Heat 2. 

Goa Girl put her early pace to good use in the super stayers race. Girl paced out well and whilst the field chased hard Girl hung on well to take the contest in 44.61.
