Head Iton Jason took the £5,000 Ladbrokes Summer Classic at Monmore on Friday to maintain our progress in the Trainers Championship. After some early scrimmaging Jason fought his way to the lead coming out the second bend and wasn't headed all the way to win by 2 3/4 lengths. The 37.84 win was his 14th win of 2011.
In the other Finals I felt Freds Champ deserved better than his 3rd place in the Gold Cup and Fifis Rocket's chances ended at the first corner in the 416 final.
