Reigning champion Drumcove Lads and Little Reindeer broke moderately but a surge from Comeragh King took hold of the race early one. Goa Storm simply took off to fly up against the running rail to win in 17.90 and take a place in the prestigious Final next week.
Back at Monmore Proud Eds Queen recorded her first success when taking A6 with an assured performance to win in 29.04.
