Puppy Derby Contenders show class is 5 star night at Monmore

With the Puppy Derby fast approaching it was great to see two of our contenders win at the venue where the classic puppy race will be held. Rooneys Lad took his 4th career win from 5 starts when he took the Division 1 Puppy Open in a splendid 28.36. This was then bettered in Division 2 when Sharp Bullet recorded his first Open race win taking the competitive contest in 28.33. 


We have had a very tough couple of weeks with the graded dogs so it was great to get among the winners. Walkaway Tyson took advantage of a rare drop to A3 as ran out an impressive six length winner in 28.72.  Head Iton Woodie recorded his first win of 2012 when he took he S1 in 38.61 by one length. Galtee Judy rounded up a great evening for the team when she took the closing A4 in 28.80, a very pleasing performance.
