Slick Citi produced the run of his life to land the £3,000 Showsec Security Scurry Cup Final at a bitterly cold Belle Vue on Thursday night taking the scalp of our own Ballymac Ace.
Citi just managed to get first run to beat 4-6 favourite Ballymac Ace by one length in 15.19sec. The pair are due to clash again in heat one of the National Sprint at Nottingham on Monday evening.It was depleted field that went to post for the rescheduled Category two event following earlier withdrawals of leading fancies Jimmy Lollie and Rotar Wing. It was a tremendous effort to get the race on in the first place and massive credit goes to all concerned.
