What a Lad!

A relatively quiet week by our standards. We helped fly the flag at Monmore in the BAGS qualifier on Friday at Swindon.
Thursday back at the Green we had a double. Head Iton Murph pretty much kissed goodbye to A2 class for a good while I reckon after destroying his A2 in a rapid 28.28, later on the same card Frankies Lad who had only mixed it in top company recorded his first Gold when winning the A1 in 28.46. He's all class and his 4/6 starting price reflected that. Much more to come now he has his head in front.

A winner a day keep the Doctor away!

Weekly housework is in order.
Monday, Lacken Smokey wins A3 in 28.66, Thursday we had Bricki getting on the scoresheet for the first time in only five races and winning A8 in 29.34.
Friday it was Barnagrane Glen's turn, without a win in highest company since February, she proved more than enough to take the A2 in 28.52
Finally on Saturday Snooty Blue whi was another to appreciate the drop to A2 when scorching away to win easy as the 4/6F in 28.51

Max points

Both our runners performed with great credit on Friday at Towcester in Leg One of the BAGS Track Championship.
Maxitout as predicted did come on for his trial and kept out of trouble to win easily in the end by 3 1/2L in 28.45
Sales Fever picked up what could be vital points for Monmore's challenge when keeping on well in the stayers to finish 3rd.

Roys Boy kept home fires burning when recording the fifth win of his career in A1 clocking 28.24 on Thursday night.

BAGS Track Championship 2016

Its the first round of our regions BAGS Track Championship on Friday at Towcester. It's a brilliant competition which Monmore proudly won in 2011, it would be great to do well this year and give the favourites a run for their money.
We are there to do our best but the home challenge does look formidable, especially with 2 in every race (home advantage)
Maxitout goes for us in the Standard.
He ran pretty wide in his trial and cannot afford to give so much ground away but there should be improvement for the look and a better show is expected.
Sales Fever runs in the stayers and is a very solid performer who should pick up his share of points, the local runner in T6 is at the peak of her powers and will be hard to peg back.

I don't like Mondays...I love them!!

Whoever said they don't like Mondays??
We had a treble at Monmore starting with Ballygibba Star. He has certainly settled in well as after a highly promising debut last week he made no mistake at the second time of asking in A4 company recording a solid and potential bursting 28.78.
Chosen Career was always a winner waiting to happen in A2 class and so it proved with hard fought 28.41 win.
Finally we had Express Radar, dropped from A1 last week to A3, he didn't need a second invitation to blitz his rivals in 28.24...goodbye A3 forever!!

A4 galore!

A few winners to catch up on this weekend. On Thursday Head Iton Sharpy, seemingly languishing in A5 company after winning A6 nine runs back finally made the breakthrough with his fastest career run in 28.88!
Friday saw Colarhouse Bound add win number two to her CV with a solid effort leading all the way in A4 class to clock 28.90.
Also on Friday, Joy For Roy got back on the winners trail, without a victory since June she made no mistake when taking her A4 in 28.78
