I'd like to wish Mike all the very best of luck with her.

Daddy shares Betfred Select Stakes glory
Daddy Knowsbest ran the race of his life on Monday night to share the Betfred Select Stakes after dead heating with Holdem Spy in a terrific encounter. Daddy came away from traps very well and corned the bend superbly but Holdem Spy was poised to challenge off the last bend. Off the last bend Daddy kicked hard all the way to the line but Spy closed with every yard. As they both flashed past the post no one had no idea who can who had won.
After a close look the judge decided it was a dead heat which is great result for both sets of connections. The winning time was 29.67.
A brilliant night !!

Old and new striking gold
The week started well for the team with two winners at Monmore on a competitive afternoon of graded racing.
Goa Girl (pictured) paid new connections of Marie and Richard McClean straight back when taking the S1 by 3/4 length in 38.42. Another dog running for new connections is Corley Passion who has been bought by Spud Platts and Will Adamson. Passion made it two wins on the bounce when stepping up in grade to take the A9 in 29.44.
With it being in peak holiday season updates won't be as regular as they are normally. This is the reason we are only reporting the Saturday night win now of Corley Gary. The home reared Gary looks like he could be a great signing for Len Timmins and Keith Inston after he romped to a 28.59 win at Monmore by a huge 5 lengths.

Good Luck to all connections.

Sidelight set for Champion Stakes
We will be heading to Romford next week to try Sidelight in the Champion Stakes after she took a competitive Stayers Open over 630 metres at Monmore. She was quickly in charge of the race and took the race by 3 1/2 lengths in 38.42.
Boherna Bridge took advantage of a drop in class to romp to a a huge 10 1/2 length win in 38.20. This was the dogs first win since February so hopefully we won't have to wait as long for his next win.
Down at Hove, Express Master was our only surviving in the Coral Sussex Cup finishing 3rd in Heat 4 in 28.92. He has a much improved draw in Trap 1 for the Semi Final so finger crossed he gets a clean run.

Loises First made a stunning debut for new connections when taking Heat 3 of the Betfred Puppy Maiden Stake at Nottingham.
Loises First and quickly into his stride and put the race to bed in a matter of strides and once rounding the first bend he showed some superb pace to go on to win by 3 1/2 lengths in 29.95. Fingers crossed he comes away as well next week and takes the Final in good style.

Strategic Review - Puppy Final Video
I've recently found a great You-Tube Video channel (Nowso) that posts some super race videos. I've linked another three morning. Enjoy !
Up the grades
The improving son of Westmead Hawk x Galtee Pony, Manolita, made it successive wins at Monmore last night when stepping up to A5 to win by a hard fought neck. Manolita did it the hard way after a slow start there was plenty to do however the youngster worked his way through the field to win in 29.39.
It was great to see Corley Passion record her first win. Passion took the A10 by 3/4 length in 29.58.

Drumove brings the house down
Nights like last night make it all worth while. It's brilliant that the ever young Drumcove Lad managed to roll back the years to take the William Hill Flyer title and the £3,000 prize in 15.77.
Sadly Sidlelight's chances in the Grand Prix Final were over by the first bend as she was very slowly away and could never get on terms against such good opposition.
Express Master's winning run came to an end at Hove when he was just beat by the highly regarded Bridge Honcho in 29.87 in the Division A Sussex Cup Trial Stake.
At our home track of Monmore Conors Legend took the Ladbrokes.com Maiden Final, £500 to the winner, in great style. Breaking sweetly from traps and showing some excellent all round pace to win by 3 1/2 lengths in 28.71.

Drumcove Lad takes Festival Flyer
Drumcove Lad rolled back the years one more time for connections tonight by taking the £3,000 William Hill Flyer at Sunderland. Quickly into stride he needed to be brave around the first bend but as soon as the dog on the outside of him moved toward the middle our Lad was away and gone to win by 2 lengths in 15.61. What a dog !!

Express Flames flies in for Nokes
John Nokes's Express Flame bounced back to form last night night when the daughter of Hondo Black x Express Mist stormed to a three length success in an Open Race for bitches at Nottingham.
Flame quickly established herself in front of the field after breaking well and as soon as she was round the first bend the rest of the field could only chase her shadow as she took the 500 metres contest in 29.66.

BAGS Double before heading to Notts
We are open racing at Nottingham tonight following this afternoons meeting at Monmore which we recorded two winners.
Physic Wayne was first off the mark when he overcame first bend trouble to put in a real gutsy effort to take the A5 by a short head in 29.29. Ballymac Cracker then took the very next race, another A5, when leading all the way to win by 3 3/4 lengths in 28.92.
A solid start to the week again, well done team.

Curragh Jessie ready to be snapped by by new owner
Fancy joining the team and being part of our challenge for the Trainers Championship and moments like the above then after a two days of tough talking we have agreed a deal to bring Curragh Jessie to Westview Kennels.
Following on from our big race success at Poole on Saturday with
Daddy Knowsbest we are pleased to announce that we have just secure the
services of a fantastically bred young staying pup who will be arriving at
Westview this week.
A lot of leading trainers in the UK & Ireland have been trying
to secure her as with her breeding and winning times she has become 'hot property'
In her very 1st race she was badly bumped leaving traps and baulked
at the sprint boxes but once getting racing room showed huge back straight pace
and was simply just too good as she flew home to win by 4 1/2 lengths in 29.68
at Youghal, she was gone 6 -8 lengths clear by the pick up.
In her latest race win she was racing at Cork and once again she
gave a brilliant display, Drawn 5 this time, she made the 1st bend in front and
from here there was only going to be one winner. Her pace throughout was a joy
to behold as she blew her opponents away flying through out she won by 9 1/2
lengths in a flying time of 28.70 which was easily the fastest time of the
night.
****1st in 29.68 525 yards race Youghal**** (Baulked - racing debut)
****1st in 28.70 525 yards race Cork****
(won by 9 1/2 lengths - Major open class run)
*Fastest time of the night*
Brilliant runs from this hugely exciting talent. What makes them
even more special is that she is recording these times over a distance which is
too short for her to show her true potential.
It is our belief that when she is stepped up in trip she will be
even better. Not alone does she have fantastic all round pace but she is
classically bred.
Sire 'College Causeway' who of course was one of the fastest
greyhounds ever seen, won the Irish Derby
and has bred the likes of 'Milldean Phanther' and 'Bubbly Phoenix' theYarmouth Derby winner.
This pups dam line is equally impressive - 'Minnies Budgie' - is by
- 'Roanokee' x Minnies sparkler' - who produced such legendary stayers as
'Maxie rumble' - one of the best stayers ever seen in the UK - broke track
records at Coventry - won the Silver collar & The Cesarewitch. 'Ferdia
Bound' - winner of the Barrys tea over 750 yards at Cork - won the 1010 yards
Ted Heagarty Marathon at Harolds cross - Broke 5 track records
'Minnies budgie' herself has already produced such great stayers as
'Minnies Penske' - who was one of the best stayers/marathon runners seen here
in the UK until she was sold for a massive five figure sum to go out to Dubai -
Rated 134 on G.data. 'Conkon' - winner of several opens at Nottingham over 730m
rated 124 on G.Data.
As the above shows this champion puppy has major open class
breeding. Only last week we tried to buy her litter sister. 'Enda Causeway' who
was running A3/A4 at Hall green with 12 races on her card before taking a
maiden open impressively. However we were quoted £14,0000 for her and we felt
it was just too much.
However this pup, who we belief is going to develop into major open
class with the pace she has already shown will not even cost 1/2 that price
such is our main mans negotiations skills. We acted fast to secure her and we
are delighted to have got her.
Once she gets more age and is allowed to develop we will step her up
in trip and over the 6 bends with any luck at all she will win numerous major
open staying races.
Please phone me direct to discuss this highly exciting talent
further.
Sidelight & Drumcove make Sunderland Finals
Sidelight flew the flag for Westview at Sunderland on Saturday in the presigious William Hill sponspored Grand Prix Meeting. Sidelight brokes smartly in the first Semi Final and held the lead to the shadow of line to finish second in 40.13.
We are hoping he can break as well in the Final and he can steal a good lead, with a bit of trouble behind you never know.
In the supporting Sprint competition Drumcove Lad rolled back the years to take Heat 3 by 2 lengths to win in 15.61.

Daddy is so proud of Golden Crest win
Ed and Roys Nicholls's Daddy Knowsbest (Big Daddy Cool x Bridie Knowsbet) made the most of a quieter Sunday morning and took the chance to be photographed by Dave Yanez. Daddy was loving his new found fame and is rather quite proud of his win in the Dave Lawrence Golden Crest at Poole.

Daddy proves best in Golden Crest Final
Poole is fast becoming one of the kennels favourite tracks and once again we returned home to Westview with the prize, thanks to a wonderful run from Daddy Knowsbest who took the Dave Lawrence Golden Crest Final on Saturday.
Breaking quickly from trap three Daddy moved towards the rails with Bush Standard right on his side around the first bend. Daddy made the most of the running rail to run a great two bends to force himself clear of the challenge. Bush Standard chased Daddy Knowsbest all the way to the line however the three length winning margin was just reward for his superb run in the Final to take the £3,000 prize.
The 26.20 winning time was a Track Record which was a real added bonus of the night.

Friday double as sunshine continues
At a sun drenched Monmore track yesterday we had a very pleasing double to continue the kennels good form.
The ever young Head Iton Mags added another win to her impressive record by taking the S5 by 3 3/4 lengths in 39.20. Our second winner came care of Farloe Thekid who took the A3 with an all the way victory in 28.67.

Master heading to Sussex Cup after Trial Stake
Express Master laid down a marker for the upcoming Sussex Cup at Hove when following up his debut win a smooth 3 1/2 length win in Thursdays night Division 1 Trial Stake.
Master was quicker away from traps than Sebastian Vetel on grid to take the race by the scruff of his neck and then round the bends with sheer grace to kick away from the field to record 29.70. This lad looks like he could be another major signing for the kennel who was sold off this very page. In our kennel we give everyone the opportunity to buy any type of dog to meet their own budget.
Sadie oozes class in A1 victory
Ladie Sadie followed up her A2 victory last week when sweeping to an A1 win on Thursday at a huge 10/1. Sadie was quickly away for traps and once on the rails she flew clear of the field to show some fantastic pace to win by 1 3/4 lengths in 28.70.

Daddy set for Final Performance
Daddy Knowsbest made it back to back wins on Saturday night by taking the first Semi Final of the Dave Lawrence Golden Crest at Poole. Roseville Power finally broke his maiden tag when taking the A6 with a front running performance, winning by three lengths in 28.88.
Strategic Review (pictured) needed to pull out all the stops in Heat 1 of the Ladbrokes.com 480 competition. Review dug deep off the last bend to hang on by a head in 28.25 from a fast finishing Final McCoy.
Our standing dish of a stayer Aphrodites Touch added another S1 to his CV when leading every step of the 630 metre contest to win by 3/4 length in 38.29.
Finally Blue Ninja took the kennel bragging rights to deny Who Thought It in the A2. Ninja coming out on top in a real battle by 3/4 in 28.78.

Poole Golden Crest Double
We always enjoys our nights out at Poole and last night saw us travel down for the start of the Dave Lawrence Golden Crest competition.
Daddy Knowsbest was first to book himself in Fridays Final with a a smooth 3 1/4 length win in 26.50 after taking it up around the first bend and then kicking clear of the field.
Joining him in Fridays Final will be Ballycowen Dave (pictured) and Tonetta Bound who made it a kennel first and second in Heat 4. Trainers Championship Standings
The Trainers Championship standings look very different after the Monmore Summer Festival Finals and Derby night at Wimbledon. We as a team are very happy with our third place and we hope to build on this for the rest of the year.
Laoises First went very well in his first trial at Nottingham, recording an exciting 17.96 over the sprint distance.

Just the one.....
A quiet start to the week today for us at Monmore with just the one winner.
Takemybreathaway recorded her first win since February when taking the afternoons A6 in 29.18. In fairness it was really messy race which our bitch did well to get to front where it mattered to win by a short head.
