Sidelight (pictured) provided us with a prestigious first round win when the son of Hondo Black x Borna Fence pinged from traps and was never headed in the 630 metre contest to win by 1/2 length in 38.15.
Sidelight will be joined in Fridays Semi Final by Afew Dollarsmore who stayed on strongly to snatch third in Heat 5 in 38.21.
On the supporting graded card Jacks Diva recorded her first success when getting up where it mattered most to take the A10 in 29.70. Finally, Shades of Dasya took advantage of a drop in grade to A4 as she ran out a 1 1/2 winner in 28.77.
