Sky is the limit for Sheila

Pony Sheila took the spoils in front of the Sky TV cameras this evening run running out an impressive 1 1/2 length winner in 44.45. Sheila seems to really appreciate the 740 metre in the Gala Coral Sue Ryder Care Trophy. Also on the card Droopys Glen battled hard to finish 3rd in the Puppy Final whilst Officer Donagh chased old adversary Jimmy Lollie.

Go on Champ

Glenagower Champ ran out an impressive 6 3/4 length winner last night when taking the Ladbrokes.com 630 in 39.59 (-100). Our second winner of the night came from Moyar Panda who took advantage of the drop in grade to A4 when hanging on by a short head in 29.73.

Ready to Rumble

Ballymac Rumble heads back to Hove on Thursday to contest the Semi Final of the Sussex Cup. Rumble aims to continue our tremendous run of reaching major Finals. Rumble was denied by a short head on Thursday when running on very strongly against Head iton Ellis who he will meet again this week. Only 2 qualify from each Semi Final.

Elsa flies

On a night where we had four frustrating second places, Bawna Elsa recorded her first victory since May when taking last nights 416 metre open in 24.30. It was as simple as away and gone in a smooth 7 3/4 length win.

Win 16 for Gayle

Bawna Gayle took her 16th career race yesterday from 97 starts. She has been a super bitch to train and she is as keen as ever to perform. Yesterdays win was in A5 in 28.99. Synone Billy got a deserved win yesterday when taking the A4 in 29.08.

Ace denied in Classic Final

Ballymac Ace was denied by the shortest of short heads in Thursday William Hill Classic Final at Sunderland. After some first corner crowding Ace chased Target Classic hard and just failed to catch him. Ace was staying on strong but that is dog racing. A super performance all the same. Officer Donagh ran a very honest race to finish third behind Jimmy Lollie. Fatboyz Diva sadly could not get on terms in the Grand Prix Final however to reach such a big Final in such four races is an amazing achievement. Her day will come in the future.

Winners flow at Monmore

Four good graded winners for us on Thursday at Monmore Green. Psychotic Silver got the ball rolling for us when getting up in the last stride on debut to take the A9 in 29.77. A well backed Ballymac Rachael did the punters a favour when taking the A8 in 29.98. Borna Jessica recorded her 5th career win when taking a very trappy looking A3 contest in 28.86. Ace heads to Classic Final

Ballymac Ace heads back to Sunderland next Thursday for the televised running of the William Classic after taking last nights third semi final in 27.04. Ace is just 3/1 after drawing trap 4 for the Final. We will also have two other finalists on the night, Fatboyz Diva made the Grand Prix Final when finishing second in the first Semi-Final but sadly eliminated Ten Dollars More who finished third. Officer Donagh will need to improve to turn the form around from the Sprint Semi Final when he finished second to Jimmy Lollie.

Grading Update

Just the one winner on Thursday evening at Monmore which came care of Garrons Lass. Having just her second race she ran out a very impressive 5 length winner of the S1 in 38.23. One to follow for sure. It was the same again yesterday with Galtee Seb ending a spell of 7 months without a win when taking the S3 in 39.36.

Kerry Bound

Paul and I will be heading to Tralee in County Kerry in the next couple of days scouting for possible contenders for next years Puppy Derby. Whilst the Derby is not until next March it is important we spot some contenders at an early stage. Let me know if you would like a dog added to the shopping list !

Diamond Nap

Andrees Diamond landed the Racing Post NAP at Monmore this evening when taking the Ladbrokes.com Puppy 480 by 7 1/2 lengths in a very sharp 28.53. Fatboyz Rocky became our second winner of the evening when taking the A3 in 28.98. Rocky is currently for sale on our sale page.

Away the lads

All three of our classic contenders made it through their respective heats at Sunderland this evening. In the William Hill Grand Prix Ten Dollars More finished second behind Anfi Gem after suffering traffic problems whilst Fatboyz Diva took heat 3 in a flashy 39.71. Ballymac Ace could only finished second in heat 3 of the Classic but will improve for another look round the track.

Pony hits the Barr running

Gertys Pony took last nights Maiden Stayers contest at Perry Barr when running out an impressive one length winner in 40.07 over 660 metres. I also need to report some bad news about Micks Ginger who sustained a serious injury in the sprint.

That's my girl

Kentori Girl was our only winner on Friday afternoon when taking the afternoons A7 in 29.43.

Hove Results

Ballymac Rumble's (pictured) 2nd was the nearest we came to a winner at Hove last night. Hopefully the experience at the circuit will benefit all those who ran. Droopys Edgar was 4th, Indigo King 4th and Pony Shiela 5th. Just one of those nights I'm afraid.

Thursday Double

Bumble Lee kick started our double last night at Monmore when taking the A3 in 29.44 hanging on well to record a neck win. Our second winner came from Glenagower Champ who is a recent intake from Mark Wallis. Champ couldn't have impressed more when taking a tough looking A2 by 3 3/4 lengths in 29.13. The picture shown is Fatboyz Mikey striding shot out by Dave Yanez.
