It was a case of solid performances from the team last night at Nottingham without any winners. Our young pups Fatboyz Romeo and Eagle both finished third in their respective Puppy races. Officer Donagh was second which was good enough to progress to next weeks Final. Finally Inshaarla finished third in the closing race of the evening.

Notts Bound
Monday Double
A nice grading double today care of Ballymac Grace and Dadleys Storm. Ballymac Grace (pictured) was winning her first career race when running out a convincing winner of the A7 in 29.11. The 5 3/4 length win makes her down a bitch to follow in coming weeks. Dadleys Storm won his first race over the extended distance of 630 metres when recording a 10 length win in 39.11.

Potatoes Springs to Festival Success
Mashed Potatoes took the Ladbrokes Spring Festival 480 Bitches 480 Final this afternoon at Monmore in a rapid 28.49. It's a pleasure to train such a gifted bitch. Potatoes pinged from traps and was never headed in the length and 3/4 success. Townhill Widtink ran a stormer to be 2nd in the Dog Final to go down by just a head in 28.29. Micks Ginger ran he heart out to get within two lengths of the gifted Ardbeg Mentor and finished in the runners up berth. A great effort by all the dogs.
Magnificent 7
The dogs great form continued last night as we struck a magnificent seven winners. We had to wait until race four until our first winner when Highview Honda took the A4 in 29.23. Ballymac Sarah then recorded her first win when taking the A6 in 29.35. Synone Billy made up for two near misses with a win in A4 company in 29.03. Lively Mondays is definitely a dog to follow and he made it 2 wins back to bounce when recording four length win in A4 in 29.12. Ballymac Racheal ran out an eight length win in the A10 in 29.48, she is giving the impression she is starting to find her feet. Fatboyz Rocky made the most of a ease in grade when taking the A4 in 28.85. Finally and certainly not forgotten was Sadhbhs Pony who set the tongues wagging with a comfortable win in A3 in 28.83. Those regular readers would have noted this bitch was our "Trainers Special", needless to say a sale has been agreed.
Proud Challenge
I left Doncaster very proud of our first challenge in the Trainers Championship. All the dogs ran with a great deal of credit and to finish joint 5th, 3 points off 3rd was amazing given our success last year was driven from quantity of winners rather than big race successes even though we had our fair of big finals.

Spring start
Townhill Widtink (pictured) appears to be getting better with age after a stunning 28.41 win in the Spring Festival 480 at Monmore to progress to Friday's Final. This was the March 2007's 10th career win. We will also be represented in two other Finals with Micks Ginger and Mashed Potatoes. Ginger took his heat of the 416 in 25.04. I was overjoyed with Mashed Potatoes finishing second in 28.32. To get within a length of a high class bitch as Droopys Flo first run back from injury was a great run. The draw for Fridays Finals are :-
480 bitches: 1 Mashed Potatoes, 2 Slick Sioux, 3 Droopys Flo Jo (m), 4 Freedom Emma (m), 5 Droopys Flo (w), 6 A Million Maid (w)
480 dogs: 1 Directors Ruler, 2 Townhill Widtink, 3 Deanridge Ammo, 4 Loyal Rebel (m), 5 Mays Shadow (m), 6 Shams Star (m)
416: 1 Micks Ginger, 2 Conna Eagle, 3 Mustang Garcia, 4 Ardbeg Mentor, 5 County Victory, 6 Cotswold Flash (m)

Special Pony
Jeeze.....I've had some moans today after I sold Ballymac Master so quickly after posting him on the site as a trainers special. I've been ringing round the Irish owners trying to get them to give us deal. After much negotiation I have can offer Sadbhbs Pony for £200 off the £3,000 advertised. This bitch will win open races over 6 bends. I have sold bitches of this quality in the past in the region of 5K. First come first served.
Cabra Fly has pups
Early bird catches the worm
Neil Britton and family took advantage of our first trainers special when purchasing the young Ballymac Master this morning. The very best of luck with him.
Lighthowlers Goose Lands
I can't wait to see new arrival Ballymac Goose on the track. John Lighthowler has kindly purchased the dog and given me the opportunity to train this potential superstar. This 14 month pup is from a repeat mating of Me Buddy, Ballymac Meave x Ballymac Peg.
Trainers Special
I'm have decided to introduce a trainers special for each calender month. For March it will be Ballymac Master. This young brindle October 2008 pup is bred Ballymac Kewell ( English & Scottish Derby Finalist and sire of leading pup Ballymac Well) x Ballymac Jacqui. Master has showed some rapid early pace and that will always win him his share of races. His two wins from two starts in A10 (29.73) and A9 (29.51) couldn't have gone better. I've persuaded his Irish owner to reduce his price by £200 to £750 for our first special. You don't get the opportunity to buy a pup with 2 wins on his card for this sort of money.

Spring Festival Entries
Monday will see that start of the Spring Festival at Monmore. As always I have entered a strong team. The bitches competition will feature Fatboyz Jade and Mashed Potatoes(pictured) having her first race since returning from injury. Potatoes is the fastest bitch ever to go round Monmore, whether she can return to that level of form we are unclear at this stage. The dog competition will feature Townhill Widtink and new intake Spruce Storm. Storm is owned by Mark Chinn and friends. Finally the 416 competition will have three runners from our kennel, Micks Ginger, Head iton Paul and Fatboyz Razldazl.
Recondite Retired
Grand kennel servant Recondite has been retired after a distinguished career. Recondite won 12 races from 63 starts. His wins came at four different tracks - Monmore, Romford, Nottingham and Walthamstow. He started at A8 at Walthamstow and progressed to winning an open race. I'm sure he will enjoy his retirement.
Fatboyz Duo
Meeting Sheila
I have been given the pleasure to train a super looking bitch called Pony Sheila. This June 2008 bitch has been the talk of Tralee with some stunning performances. I must thank my loyal owners of Ted Megaw, Peter Symonds and new owner Scott Fraser for the opportunity to train her.
Betfair Trainers Championship Team Announced
Fridays are just Bliss
Centaur Bliss lead the grading team to a treble yesterday at Monmore. Bliss (pictured) broke from traps smartly to lead all the way in the S3 contest to record 38.68. It was great to see Galtee Sonny end a run of bad luck when taking the A3 in 28.79, running on very strongly. Lively Mondays did the local punters a good turn when taking the A6 in 28.88. Hopefully this win may lead to some forgiveness for the punters who had backed the pup on his first two outings at Monmore.
Widtink stars on undercard
Townhill Widtink put in another super performance on the under card to the Puppy Derby on Thursday. This 28.67 win in the Ladbrokes 480 was a great win to give Widtink his 9th career win from 53 starts. He appears to be getting with age. Congratulations to Carly Philpott and connections for winning Puppy Derby with Ballymac William.

Cheltenham Week
Good luck to everyone heading to Cheltenham for the festival. I can reliably inform you of all the big winners. Champion Hurdle (Tuesday) Go Native, Champion Chase (Wednesday) Master Minded, Ryanair Chase (Thursday) Planet of Sound each way. The Gold Cup looks at the mercy of Kauto Star again so try your luck with Alaivan in the first race on the Friday. I hear he is catching pigeons on the gallops back in Ireland and will make the frame.
Trudie make it five straight
Synone Trudie made it an unbelievable five wins on the bounce when winning this afternoon S3 in 39.01. Upped in grade from her last win in S4 she flew away from traps to record a 3 1/4 length win. The winners are flowing at a good pace at the moment and this afternoon was no exception. Gums N Plums was our first winner of the afternoon in the A6. The old boy who is 5 in July recorded 29.31. Following Trudie's win Bourne Breezy proved he was no back number when running away with the A4 by four lengths in 28.77. Moscow Duke ended his tough run of races without a win when taking the S2 in 38.89. The winners did not stop there, Ballymac Master followed up his impressive debut with another sharp performance when taking the closing race of the card, an A9, in 29.51.

Draw beats the pups
Five winners on Thursday evening could hide our disappointment in both Ballymac Ace and Ballymac Rumble both being knocked out of the Puppy Derby. The draw looked very difficult and so it proved. Ballymac Master took the opening race of the evening which was an A10 in 29.73, a very promising debut. Synone Trudie made it four wins in a row when taking the S4 in 39.72. Fatboyz Gracie got a deserved success in the S1 when running out a one length winnner in 37.97. Flywithoutfolo, currently best value on sale page, recorded her second win in two starts when taking the S2 in 38.92. The evening finished with Highview Gold's return from injury and putting in a stunning run to take the A2 in 28.98.

Jigging at Romford
Little Jig put in a breath taking performance last night at Romford when running away with Heat 1 of the Coral TV Maiden Stayers over 575 metres. Jig was quickly away from traps and never saw another dog as she won by 8 3/4 lengths in 35.43.
Also on the card Droopys Edgar was third and Swift Tinto 5th. Sadly no winners on Monday at Nottingham with Offer Donagh 3rd, Swift Patriot 6th and Bethanys Boy 4th.

Bullseye Monday
The dogs are running after their skins at moment which was backed up with five winners again this afternoon. Cohen Silver made the most of a drop in grade to A4 when winning in 29.42. This was his 11th career win. Direct Bob caught the eye again when making it two wins from two starts. The son of Westmead Hawk looks like a smart recruit as he won the A3 in 28.91. The little Dadleys Sunset managed to record another win on her CV when taking the A6 in 29.53. The ultra consistent Highview Lace recorded our 4th winner of the afternoon when running away with the S2 in 39.15, will she stay further ? Another bitch that stayed on well was Sadie Blue who made it a 5 timer when winning the A5 in 29.36.

Widtink leads us to five
Townhill Widtink (pictured) lead us to five winners at Monmore last night. Running in a very tough A1 he pinged from traps to win in 28.81 by three lengths. This was his 8th career win from 53 starts. Ballymac Dolores is starting to work her way up the grades and took the opening race on the card with 29.90 win in A9. Synone Trudie is fast becoming the "Centaur Bliss" of 2010 as she scored again in 29.19. This was her third win on the bounce and her 4th win from six starts. She has not been out of the first three on any occasion. Broad World put in an impressive display when taking the A2 in 28.90. Our final winner of the evening was Ballymac Sive who blew the opposition away in the A5 in 29.37. A very pleasing debut.
Friday Hatrick
Our grading team produced a hatrick on Friday afternoon. First to oblige was Flyingwithoutflo who stuck her head where it mattered to take the S3 in 39.04. Yasmins Joy then made it 2 wins from 3 starts when landing the A7 in 29.25. The hatrick was completed when Ballymac Siobhan won the A9 in 29.65.

Ace and Rumble star in Puppy Derby
Both Ballymac Ace (pictured) and Ballymac Rumble both put in stunning performances at Monmore this evening to put themselves in the front rank of the Puppy Derby contenders. Rumble was first on the rostrum when running out a four length winner in 28.21. Ballymac Ace also managed a comfortable when when accounting for Proud Patsy by 3 3/4 lengths in 28.43. Direct Dan finished a brave 4th, he will no doubt have his glory in the future.
Tragedy for Allstar
Centaur Allstar suffered a broken hock on Wednesday evening at Poole and had to be put to sleep as the injury was very bad. Allstar landed the Scurry Final live on Sky in 2009 and was instrumental to our all round success last year. He will be sadly missed by all. We all record our condolences to the dogs connections. Whilst we recorded a victory with Kurious Incident (pictured) in the Golden Crest in 26.91 the journey home was very difficult. Also on the card Inshaarla was second and Fatboyz Razldazl sixth.

Monmore Puppy Derby
The Ladbrokes Puppy Derby starts this Thursday at Monmore. Ballymac Ace, Ballymac Rumble and Direct Dan were all accepted whist we were very disappointed Direct Bob missed out. Rumble has been drawn in Heat 1 which looks very difficult. Ballymac Ace will need to show his early to lead up against the local Proud Patsy. Direct Dan is very much raw potential and is still improving. If I had to pick one out from another kennel I'd select Rio Venturo. Whilst this competition might come to quick for pup he is very much one to follow.
Ready Made Open Runner
If you are looking for a ready made Open Race dog can I suggest you check out the sales page as I've just posted a super dog that is sure to win a lot of races here in the UK. The dogs name is Rith Agus Rumble.

Rocketing to Notts Final Win
Highview Rocket lead us to our first Final win of 2010 this evening when taking the Worthingtons Provincial Cup at Nottingham over 480 metres. Always handy throughout the race he stuck to his task well when staying on to win in 29.25. Congratulations to his lucky owners. Back at Monmore Murrman landed a hard fought S2 in 38.89.
