Start Itup Sooty (Fawn dog pictured) lost his maiden tag yesterday when romping to a 6 1/2 success in yesterdays A6. Sooty stormed clear coming out of the third bend and then powered clear impressivley to win in 28.78.
Shades of Zeta recorded her second career when she took the A5 by 3/4 length in 29.02.

Class tells in Hove Double
A superb double at Hove last night for the team but it did look like we were set for three winners as Cerrise looked like a sure fire winner before suffering some bad luck.
Dixies Craft took the bitches open over 515 metres by bursting from traps and simply leading all the way, taking the contest in 30.02. This was this bitches 5th career win and and with so few miles on her clock I could see her adding many more wins to this.
Goa Girl seemed to love the step up to 695 metres when taking the Maiden Stayers event in 41.79. The 4 1/2 length win just shows the potential of this bitch. It will be interesting in coming months how far she will actually stay.

Stunning racing at Monmore
We were all treated to a wonderful performance at Monmore last night when Barrie Drapers Ballymac Eske set a new track record in a sensational 27.48. Tae Milis will take on the new track record holder on in the Puppy Final after being drawn out at random after the race was void after one of the dogs turned the wrong way so the race was void.
The big winners on the night was the Monmore Retired Greyhound Trust who hopefully raised lot of funds for their brilliant work.
The track hosted an interesting Dual Distance competition which the first round is over 630 metres whilst the final is over 480 metres. Johns Classic earned a place in next weeks Final after finishing third in 38.44.
Pugs Escolade (Pictured) proved to be our only winner of the night when he followed up his debut win with another great run to take the A5 by 1 1/4 lengths in 28.71.
Draw for Thursday's finals:
Pups: 1 Ballymac Eske, 2 Bower William, 3 Ballymac Tobias (m), 4 Bower Show (m), 5 Tae Milis (m), 6 Fridays Daryl (w)
Dual Distance: 1 Johns Classic, 2 Liscahane Razl, 3 Maxines Fancy, 4 Mays Gold (m), 5 Saxon Warrior (m), 6 Erics Lass (m)

Roly Woodcock answered our request for more owners to get involved and kindly answered a few questions for the website. Check out Roly's profile and make sure you say hello when you see him at the track. Thanks Roly. Every one is welcome.

Patsy in charge at Poole
We will be our be beat this years Final jinx if Proud Patsy and Boris Johner can qualify from next weeks Semi Finals in the Dave Lawrence Golden Crest at Poole. In last nights heat we started very well when Proud Patsy took advantage of some early crowding to win in 26.73. Boris Johner chased him hard to seal a qualifying place in the Semi Final. Sadly Freds Champ and Jennas Pony were both unplaced.
Semis draw (courtesy of Kaan Hughes): 1st semi 1 Proud Patsy, 2 Out in Chill, 3 Kilmalady Biffo (m) , 4 Trevi You Go (w), 5 Droopys College (w) 6 Riverside Jess (w).

Storm shows her medal as Legend qualifies
Goa Storm showed us tonight at Nottingham what she can do when she breaks when putting in a battling performance to land the Betfred Bingo Sprint Trophy in 18.09. Storm showed some real heart to keep going under the content pressure of the runner up Gone to Carrhue.
Nottingham also staged one of their dual distance competitions last night in which we entered Fifis Legend (pictured). Legend finished second to Head Iton Eion, beaten by 2 3/4 lengths in 29.02. It will be interesting whether he can turn the form around in next weeks Final.

Meeting the dogs.....we need you
I'd like to do some features on the dogs to add some new interest the website and blog. I'm sure you all love to read about the winners we have but I'd like every one to let us know the story behind some of the dogs and their owners. If you simply answer a few questions as listed and email these to ndugganisrm@hotmail.com we will post them for everyone to read and if you have a picture please send that to. We do have an big library so photos are not essential.

In search of the Golden Crest
We are going to swerve Sunderland this year and try and win the Dave Lawrence Golden Crest again down at Poole which starts tomorrow. We always get a great welcome at the track and we have had some fantastic nights there in the past. This years entries are Freds Champ, Boris Johner, Jennas Pony and Proud Patsy. Good luck to all connections.
Edgars Champ will take his chance in the Sprint.

Wonder Woman.....
Whitehart Wonder made the drop in grade to A10 count this afternoon when running out a 1 3/4 length winner in 29.12. I'm sure the bitch will now win plenty more races now she has found her feet for owner Phil Steed.
Hard Core Winner for Edwards
Hard Core Rock provided James Edwards and us with a welcome open race winner on Saturday night at Coventry. Rock build up an early lead in the Maiden over 485 metres but kennel mate Joscar chased him all the way to get within a 1 1/2. The winning time was 29.53. This was the dogs 5th career win and his first open race success. Runner up Joscar looks like a another nice prospect for the kennel and I hope I'll be training plenty of winners for his owner Roly Woodcock.
Moving on to Sunday where we recorded two seconds and a 4th place. Goa Leprechaun went down by a neck in the Super Stayers race, whilst Peggys Style suffered the same fate but she will have chance to this right as she qualified for next weeks Final. Hopefully she can break well again next week and stay on slightly better.
Delonte was unplaced in the Division 1 Standard.

No joy in Finals again
I'm not sure if I have run over some ones cat this year by accident but we just can't get any luck in the Finals this year. Friday saw us contest two competitive Finals at our home track at Monmore.
Cerrise put in a super run in the Bitches Final going down by 1 1/2 after suffering from early crowding. This is a nice bitch and I'd love to find her a nice competition to add to her CV.
It was a case of second again in the Dogs Final as Penrhiw Guto when down by an agonising neck in 28.39. Guto was smartly away from traps and was only caught in the shadow of the line.

Tae Milis shows his raw pace in four star night
Tae Mlis recorded his first win since joining us when romping to a six length win on Thursday night. Millis burst clear in the early stages and once in front he was away and gone to take the A3 in 28.28. Shades of Kara was another one winning her first race on Thursday when she took the A8 in 29.05. Mays Stopgoback is a young bitch with a lot of promise and it was great to see her take the A5 in 28.85 by 1 3/4 lengths. Old favourite Head Iton Woodie added another win to his CV when staying on best in the S2 to take the race in 38.40.

Bid and Empire denied in Pall Mall Final
Our two year hold of the Pall Mall Championship ended last night at Oxford and as two contenders were denied in their attempt to bring back the title for the third year on the bounce.
You Mind Me lead from the traps and looked to be the likely winning coming out of the first end. Brittons Empire ran well but was always sat behind the leader. Smart Bid started slowly from his rails position and ran on extremely strongly and only just failed to catch the leader of a length who took the race in 28.69.
In the supporting races Boris Johner was denied by a short head in the British bred race which was a super performance given the competition. Boherna Bridge was unplaced in the stayers event.

Monmore Summer Festival
You can't knock Monmore, there ongoing competitions held throughout the year always attract top class entries. We are very lucky for Monmore to me our home track.
Atouchofvenus (pictured) took Heat 1 of the Bitches competition in a rattling 28.49. Her early pace will continue to win her many races. She will be joined in the Final by Cerrise who battled hard against the high class Mutual Decision, finishing second in 28.26.
Penrhiw Guto reached the Dogs Final when he took Heat 1 of the 480 dogs competition showing a great attitude, winning in 28.23. It would be great to see whether he could lead in the Final.
Draws for Friday's finals:
Stayers Classic: 1 Mark My Words, 2 Westmead Maldini, 3 Ballintine Molly (m), 4 Killieford Blaze (m), 5 Granard Bound (w), 6 Clerihan Gold (w).
Bitches: 1 Rockburst Pearl, 2 Droopys Cinders, 3 Cerrise, 4 Mutual Decision, 5 Saleen Crackers, 6 Atouchofvenus (m).
Dogs: 1 Penrhiw Guto, 2 Graigues Orchard, 3 Freedom Chief, 4 Milestone Apache (m), 5 Go Go Sonic (w), 5 Whitefort Mac (w).
416m: 1 Bower Laramie, 2 Headford Jack, 3 Wells Honour, 4 Raise Me Up, 5 Tuttles Maldini (m), 6 Clonlost Michael (w).
Sales Update
Three dogs have been sold in recent days and I would like to wish all the new connections all the best of luck with their new purchases. I never under estimate the loyalty of my owners and it really pleases me when we attract a new owner to the kennel.
Mays Stopgoback has been purchased by Mr and Mrs Hanks, Sams Dee by Dora Marcathy and Jeffs Brae by Ian Bradford.
I have had a possible TV Trophy prospect land in the kennels today, more details to follow.

Banging in the winners
Four winners for the kennel on Saturday at Monmore. Beauvasis Belle couldn't have started the night any better for us when winning her first race at Monmore (A9) in 29.22. Yorkshire Lady seemed to appreactie the step back to four bends as she ran out a 1 3/4 length winner of the A4 in 29.05. Once in from there was little chance of Lady being caught.
Start Itup Sweep (pictured) is looking like a puppy of serious promise. He recorded his second victory when taking the A3 in 28.57 beating the highly rated Sids Champ.
Pugs Escolade made his debut a winning one when leading all the way in the A6, taking the contest in 29.01. This lad looks like another promising recruit for the kennel.

Kennel Photos by Dave Yanez
Greyhound photographer Dave Yanez was a kennels last Sunday and as always took some fantastic shots. Please take a look at all the photos taken on his Smug Mug website. Photographs can be ordered directly.
Speck is Friday winner
Homestead Speck won her first race since March this afternoon when taking the S5 by a convincing 3 1/2 lengths. Speck took advantage of first bend trouble and burst clear. She then led all the way to the line to win in 39.67.
Amber back in charge
Skyline Amber took top honours at Monmore last night when she took the S1 stayers race in 38.22 beating kennel mates Driving Force and Head Iton Woodie. Amber's win was her 16th of her career, I'm sure there are plenty of more wins still to come in her career.
Double handed in Pall Mall Final
Once again we have another chance to win the Ladbrokes Pall Mall at Oxford following another good night at the track. In last nights first Semi Final Goa Getta was caught up in first bend trouble and couldn't get back on terms. Getta battled well but could only finish 5th.
Brittons Empire stole a good lead in the second Semi Final however Farloe Mysterio ran on very strongly to steal the race from the current champion to heat him by 1/2 length in 27.45. I'm sure Empire will be ready for Tuesdays rematch.
The final Semi Final saw Smart Bid clinch his place in the Sky televised Final on Tuesday. Smart Bid moved off round the second bend to give Aherlow Shaw the upper hand. Bid stayed on well to seal the second qualifying place.
Draw for Tuesday's Final : 1 Smart Bid, 2 Brittons Empire, 3 You Mind Me, 4 Aherlow Shaw (m), 5 Dromana Max (m), 6 Farloe Mysterio (w)

The Man from Delonte says yes
Ian Bradford's Delonte recorded his first open race win last night when running out an impressive 3 3/4 length win in 29.18. Delonte is already an A3 winner at Monmore and I'm sure he will be adding more winners to his CV shortly.
The Puppy Oaks Final was a very hot race with Goa Leprechaun running a storming race to finish third behind hot favourite Ballymac Wander. Nick Bestwicks young bitch is desperate for a step up yo six or even eight bends and should win many opens over extended distances.

Coventry Double
Spud Platt's Syndicate Edgars Champ impressed us all last night when leading all the way to take the Sprint Open over 264 metres at Coventry in 16.29. This was just reward for some consistent runs without much luck. Vedfield Solid made it four wins on the bounce when he took the Division A Standard over 485 metres in an impressive 29.44. This lad keeps finding more with every race he has and lets hope he keeps this improvement up. Atouchofvenus was runner up once again beaten by just a neck. I think this lad still very much on the upgrade and I'm sure he will be taking another open race shortly.
Kelly's Legend is back with A1 performance
Thomas Kelly's stormed back into track action last night after a two month lay off by taking a very competitive A1 in 28.28. Hard Core Rock showed he was ready for the step into the highest grade when running out a convincing 3 1/2 length winner of the A2 in 28.89. The night could have been even better as we had an amazing eight second places on the card.

Sale Page Updated
I've been working on the Sales page this afternoon. I've added some super prospects including two pups that are being schooled at the moment. There should be something to meet every ones tastes and pockets. Please call me if interested. Any new owners are welcome and I'd be happy to show you the dogs and give you a tour of the kennels.
Champion Empire sets standard in Pall Mall
Great night for the team at Oxford as all three of our Pall Mall contenders qualified for next Thursdays Semi Finals. Brittons Empire led all the way in Heat 1 to show that the reigning Champion is no back number as he won in 26.92. Smart Bid loves to take advantage of an inside draw and he pinged away from traps and was well clear of the trouble in the race. Bid showed some great pace to win by 7 1/2 lengths in 27.16. Goa Getta sealed our third place in Semi Finals when finishing second in Heat 5 in 27.30. Getta's early pace could well feature in the Semi Finals.
Draw for Thursday’s semi-finals – first: 1 Goa Getta, 2 Droopys Loner, 3 You Mind Me, 4 Ballymac Drogba, 5 Castlebride Dan (m), 6 Dromana Max (m).
Second: 1 Brittons Empire, 2 Hazy Purty, 3 Rio Torino, 4 Black Silver, 5 Kilmalady Biffo (m), 6 Farloe Mysterio (w).
Third: 1 Westmead Shaw, 2 Smart Bid, 3 Millwards Blag, 4 Packin Heat, 5 Droopys Betson, 6 Aherlow Shaw (m).

Ladbrokes Pall Mall
We head to Oxford on Thursday where we will be trying to emulate previous wins in the competition with Brittons Empire and Ballymac Ace. For the record Cabra Fly could have also won it before being withdrawn on the eve of the Final when having a favourites chance.
This years entries are Freds Champ, Goa Getta, Brittons Empire and Smart Bid. It looks to be a great competition and I'd like to wish all the connections the very best of luck.

Patsy in charge at Notts
Proud Patsy took the scalp of superstar Lil Risky last night when beating him by a short head in 17.99 at Nottingham. Pasty is the form of his life and has won four of his last five races. Goa Leprechaun sealed a valuable second qualifying place in Heat 2 of the Puppy Oaks. She stayed on well to get within 3/4 length of Ballymac Wander, a very nice performance by the bitch.
Another Solid Performance
Vedfield Solid made it three wins on the bounce on Sunday night when taking the Division 3 Standard Open at Coventry. Quickly into his stride from trap 6 he was made to work all the way. Solid fought hard up the home straight to win by a head in 29.89. Solid had now recorded 5 wins from just 11 starts.
Monmore Winners Round Up
Starting on Saturday when Corrig Blue when she won her first race since March when taking staying on strong in the A3 to win in 29.08. Mondays meeting produced a hatrick for the team when Direct Angie took the A10 by a huge 6 lengths in 29.06, Borna Line took the A9 in 29.08 whilst Shades of Zeta won her first race when taking the A6 in 29.23.

Guto is contender in Stud Book Trophy
Penrhriw Guto put in a stunning run on Thursday evening when taking Heat 2 of the Greyhound Stud Book Trophy at Monmore. Guto was never headed in the contest winning by 1 3/4 lengths in 28.17. The Final should be a stunning race against Blue Artisan and Westmead Adonis. Johns Classic brought the double up when he took the A3 in 28.86.
