The sun has got his hat on
Plenty of action this weekend on the Open Race scene. Cabra Fly returns to Wimbledon for the Bitches races on the Derby Final card. Fingers crossed she breaks well, if she does I'm sure the likes of Special Liberty and Droopys Quinta would have to pull all the stops out to beat her. At Monmore Indigo King, Ag Dul Amu, Centaur Bliss and Highview Rocket all take their chances in different races. On Sunday Vancouver Dylan and Rev Counter are at Coventry. A trip to Nottingham will start next week with Rackethall Hero, Centaur Marine, Head iton Paddy, Liscahane Mavis and the returning Bawna Anna. Mavis and Anna are entered in the Puppy Oaks Competition.
Kick on Susie
Highview Susie made it 2 wins from 3 starts when winning yestedays A7 in 29.40 (-20). Scotties Eric then won the A4 in 29.34 (-20). Despite being dropped a grade he went off at an amazing price of 6/1.
Bliss Rewarded
Centaur Bliss was named bitch of the month at Monmore on Thursday after three smooth wins during the month of April. Sold off our "Sale" page for a bargain price she has now won 8 races since the sale and has moved from A8 to A1. She will be entered to run in an Open Race on Saturday. Well done to the bitch herself, all connections and the all the lads who work so hard here at kennels.
Russian Treble
It was always gives you great satisfaction when pups run well in their early races. It is a big transition from schooling track to the big gallop and crowds at Monmore. There was no such worries for Moscow Lou on Thursday as she recorded a tight win in A9 in 29.60. There was also win for Ballymac Bound in the A3 28.63 and Galtee Sonny who won in A4 in 28.76. Sonny is very much one to keep on the right side of.
Officer and Centaur Star at the Zoo
We came from from Belle Vue on Thursday with two winners and second. In the Wafcol Cock O' the North Turar Abit qualified for the 2nd round when finished a brave second to Dessies Blueboy who won the heat in 40.79. In the Showsec Security Scurry Cup heats provided for some racing. Centaur Allstar got the ball rolling for us when recording a smooth success by over 4 lengths in 15.21. In heat 6 it was all about Officer Donagh again. Quick away from traps he scorched round in to win in 15.16.

Do you want another Ballymac Ruso ?
Liam Dowling of Ballymac Kennels has sold me 3 pups which are 8 month old, 2 dogs 1 bitch. These pups are bred out of a proven bitch, phone early to avoid disappointment.
Ashville Katie was a superstar in ireland winning many big races, she is out of the famous Liscahane line. Her first litter by Ballymac Maeve, was a litter of five, Ballymac Judge and Ballymac kate were sold for 25k each and the other three between 5k to 15k each.
Katies second litter out of Ballymac Kewell have just hit the track and are flying, the dogs out the litter are fetching big money.
Ballymac Bull the sire is a new stud dog, he holds track records in Ireland.
Liam Dowling has only sold these because he is overstocked and needs space.
The pups will be reared on and schooled in Ireland by Eddie McCole for £25 per week each.
I will sell whole shares in these pups to my current owners only on the understanding that I will train them when ready to race.
2 x dogs white black and white brindle £3000 each

Derby King Title Still Up for Grabs
The staff tipping competition looks like it could be heading two ways. Paul looks to hold the aces as he has Wise Thought handled by kennel favourite Carly Phillpott. Steve has managed to get all three of his selections through to the Final. A fantastic achiement, but does he have the winner ? Matt has a finalist in Kinda Ready and has landed the each way money at long odds. He can't win the competition as Steve has the same dogg plus 2 others.

Warm Welcome
A warm welcome to Craig Hinds who has kindly given us the opportunity to train Townhill Widtink for him. He looks a super recruit for the kennel and will make his debut for us at Coventry on Wednesday.
Thank you
It was great to see we are in 11th place in the Trainers Championship standings in the press yesterday. I must thank all my loyal owners whom without their ongoing support and bringing new dogs into the kennel the success would simply not be possible. My ambition is to finish in the top 6 and fingers crossed we will get their in time. Our 42 winners to date is a great effort to date and all the team will keep pushing for more winners.
Photo Finish
This morning we had a site visit from Outreach Photography who took a number of new photographs for the website and blog. A number of new dogs have been added to the "Sale" page of the main site and new photos replacing most of the file photos. Pictures are Centaur Allstar, Galtee Ellie and Dave with the dogs.
Friday Double
Bookem Danno took advantage of the drop to A3 yesterday when winning in 28.81. Once clearing the first corner there was going to only be one winner. This was Danno's 5th win of 2009. Tipperary Dahlia brought the double up when winning the A7 in 29.48, this was her 7th career win from 47 starts.

Round Up
Normal service will resume on the site as from today. I have plenty of information and new dogs to post on the for sale page over the coming days. We will try and get some photographs tomorrow and post over the weekend. Cabra Fly was sadly eliminated from the Greyhound Derby on Tuesday. Whilst in third place off the last bend she finished very tired. We will freshen her up and talk to connections before deciding whether we head back on Finals night for the bitches race. Tonight at Hall Green Droopys Jervis will trial before racing in view of a entry in the Gymcrack. Sunday will see us at Coventry with Vancouver Dylan, Indigo King, Hollywood Idol, Turar Abit and Rev Counter. On Monday we are heading up the A42 to Nottingham where Head iton Paddy is in the Caffreys Stayers Dual Distance Final over 750 metres and Liscahane Mavis contests the Grolsch Puppy Stakes Final over 480 metres.

Team Update
I am pleased to welcome new team member Dave Bonser. Dave has a wealth of experience after working with John Mullins for 7 years and Keith Allsopp. Dave will be added to the "Our Team" section of the site at a future opportunity.
There will be no updates of the site for a period of 10 days as our webmaster is having a deserved break.

Army Call
Officer Donagh recorded his 7th win of 2009 when taking the Roswell Spaceman 280 at Coventry last night in 16.98. Another super performance who appears to be getting better with age. Also on card Vancouver Dylan and Rackethall Hero were second whilst Head iton Paddy was unplaced. Cabra Fly has come out of Saturdays Derby heat very well and should be A1 and ready for her third round heat.

Jervis has talent
Droopys Jervis is becoming some what of a Monmore specialist after another smooth win by 9 1/2 lengths last night in 28.38. Showing his rapid pace to the corner it was a case for the others to just watch as he set the track alight with a stunning performance. He has now won four from five at his home track and it is easy to forget he is not two until August.
Cabra still flying
With Centaur Allstar eliminated on Friday night it was left up to Cabra Fly to retain our interest in the Greyhound Derby this year. As always she ran her heart out going down by a short head to Marbeck Wonder in 29.06. Her third round draw is as follows :-Heat 7
1 Droopys Noel
1 Droopys Noel
2 Lenson Express
3 Cabra Fly
4 Greenwell River (m)
5 Shelbourne Denny (m)
6 Dotland Hit Man (w)

A pleasing afternoon double for us today at Monmore Green. Cohen Silver got the ball rolling when he won the A5 in 29.18 showing some early pace and then stayed on well where it mattered. Distant Polly rolled back the years as she took the following race, an S4, in 39.15.

Cracking Cabra
Cabra Fly put in a super performance at Wimbledon in Heat 15 of the Blue Square Derby. She showed some cracking early pace and despite having some traffic problems in running she was beaten by just 1/2 length by Shelbourne Denny and progresses to Round 2. This is her first race since reaching the Final of the Pall Mall where she was withdrawn after reaching the Final.
Just Bliss at Monmore
Centaur Bliss takes the headlines again after recording her amazing 4th win on the bounce. Totally remarkable, she appears to thrive on her racing and the faster races. She has now risen for A8 since January. Quick away again she never saw another dog as she won the A3 in 28.78. Our other winners were Farran Kate 28.73 A4 winner and Ag Dul Amu who landed the A8 in 29.06.

The Stars are out tonight
Centaur Allstar landed Heat 12 of the Blue Square Derby in 29.21 at Wimbledon this evening. Despite suffering with traffic problems down the back he stormed clear on the third bend to go in to the draw to round 2.
Derby Fever
As always the Derby gives everyone involved in our great sport an extra spring in their step. We have entered two runners this year. Centaur Allstar will take his chance in Heat 12 at 10.30pm tonight. Whilst he looks to have a good draw there is plenty of pace in the race. It would have been great to have had to dog a little longer before the competition, fingers crossed for the new owners. Our second runner is Cabra Fly who is in heat 15 tomorrow at 8.15pm. You can watch all the action on the Blue Square website once you are logged in. Try and support the sponsors if you can. All the lads gave you 3 each to follow for the Derby this year, here is the latest on them.

Jervis is Star Turn
Droopys Jervis recorded the fastest time of the night when taking the Ladbrokes 480 last night in 28.58. Once in front at the first corner there was only going to be one winner. Hollywood Idol continues to frustrate us as he finished second again in 28.77. Our other winner on the evening was Swift Mona who ran well to win the A6 in 29.07.
