We are still constantly been offered emerging talent that is appearing in the Emerald Isle on a regular Basis - Top open race dogs are fetching massive 5 figure sums - only recently we were offered a 28.70 winner at Newbridge for £16,000 which we felt was too much money.
Recently a young pup out of Tralee was sold for a massive £45,000!
One dog that we have agreed terms on is a super staying prospect who has won over the 480metres and the tough 600 yards at Thurles one of Irelands slowest running tracks.
This pup has also won at Irelands elite track, Shelbourne park on its premier night of racing Saturday night when the class is very 'hot'.
Mixed Message - is lovely lookingJuly 12 puppy by - the Number 1 stud dog in racing - the great 'Head Bound'
He is very lightly raced - but has clocked some fantastic winning times.
In one of his race wins at Thurles over the 600 yards - he showed massive all round pace to win by 7 1/2 lengths in a flying time of 32.72 which is only a few lengths off the tracks record. He powered to the pick up which is another 100 yards.
In his latest race at Shelbourne - he was racing over a distance which is too short for him to show his true ability - never the less he produced a fantastic staying display.
Badly crowded at traps he had to come from off the pace - he was checked up at the 3rd bend but powered into the lead off the last bend to win going away in a top class time of 28.88 - with a clear run he would have definitely gone near doing a 28.60 run.
Formlines -
***1st 31.63 570 yards Thurles***
***1st 32.72 600 yards Thurles*** (won by 7 lengths) fastest time of the night
***1st 28.88 525 yards Shelbourne***
(baulked in running) lost 2 - 3 lengths
Top class runs from this exciting staying pup. His style of running to us suggests we wont see the best of him until he goes over the 6 bends -
As already mentioned lots of top open race dogs are being sold for huge 5 figure sums - but we have negotiated a price on this pup which we feel is a value for money realistic low four figure sum.
With the pace he has already showed we are confident that he will b a regular open race scorer and will be aimed at all the major category staying comepetitions including the likes of the English St ledger and the Champion stakes at Romford over the 575metres £10,000 to winner.
Mixed Message has passed a through veterinary examination by one of Irelands leading veterinary surgeon(Pat Dunne) and will be arriving with us Saturday morning.
Interested parties can contact me direct to discuss this pup further and are welcome to visit us at the kennels over the weekend to look at the dog.
