For Sale

We have just completed negotiations to bring one of the hottest young pups to emerge from Ireland.

Last weekend was a massive weekend of racing at one of Irelands toughest tracks Clonmel - It was the start of the 'Festival of racing' for the 2017 Clonmel coursing week.

The 2017 Red Mills open unraced stake was starting last weekend - This stake contained all the top unraced pups in Ireland - from top trainers kennels like Graham Holland ,Owen McKenna Robert Gleeson etc - Greyhounds from this sweepstake are regularly sold for huge five figure prices - Last year 'Diego Flight' was sold for £25,000

'Boylesports Duke'- was sold for a reputed £50,000 last year - The likes of English derby finalist - and 2016 Laurels winner - 'Hiya Butt' - won his 1st race last year in 28.83 at Clonmel.

On the Friday night just gone (January 6th) this May 2015 pup scorched around Clonmel - We got a phone call that night to buy him and we quickly acted as the price is reasonable considering what other dogs that ran the same weekend at Clonmel would be making.

This pup was racing against all age class greyhounds (Not pups) some of whom were almost 11 months older. (28.90 race winners Shelbourne)

This pup however gave them a running lesson. Drawn in 5 - he took the lead before the 2nd bend and powered clear. Showing huge all round pace this pup won by 6 lengths in a quite brilliant time of 28.65 - which was easily the fastest time of the night.-

This was also the fastest time of the whole weekend at Clonmel (Including Sun January the 8th) race meeting - On Sunday night some wonder pups were making there debuts like ''Farloe Falcon' (28.98 Clonmel) - 'Badminton Ciaran' (28.84 Clonmel) 'Lughill Robbie' (28.79 Clonmel)

It is no exaggeration to say that £30,000 for each of the above dogs would not buy them. please go and try.

So this pups winning time his actually better than any of the above and he wont cost as 1/2 as much!!

This pup had previously won in a top class 29.11 estimated time at Kilkenny.

This pup is eligible for the upcoming £12,500 Midland Puppy derby at Monmore.

He is arriving at Westview kennels this Thursday - prospective owners are welcome to come and see him if they so wish.

3 Ladies

Three ladies did the business last night at Monmore.

The classy La Cuchilla got back on the winners rostrum for the first time since June when winning the A2 comfortably by 3L in 28.82.

Notorious Rhys helped herself to the A8 in 29.25, it was a first win in 7 race starts but someone had confidence as she went off at 4/6F

Finally Scroggy Cherry thanked the grader for not being too harsh on her when she win an A7 in December, he left her in the same grade and she obliged by a short head at 6/1!...go figure.

Maxitout is for sale

The family of the late Nigel Balderston, have decided to sell Maxitout.

The August dog, out of a fantastic litter, is yet to come into his prime and will give his new owners, many exciting nights of racing.

Max is only for sale to stay in the kennel. £3,000

I will syndicate the dog also

3 owners @ £1000 each.

Wow X2

Not a bad debut at all last night by Coolavanny Rogue, he won the A3 on -.70 going, not overly big by any means but this son of Superior Product has real guts and determination which will stand him in very good stead in his career for sure.
On the same card, Head Iton Murph absolutely ran away with an A1 by nearly 7L in a rapid 28.15 and doubled up on his pre Xmas A1 win....what a star!
