1/4 of Glen

Dave Partridge who owns a 1/4 share in Barnagrane Glen has had to put his share up for sale due to family reasons, if anybody is interested in buying the 1/4 share off Dave, could you please give him a call on 07794 071263
Glen has been sidelined with a hip injury for a few week now, but should return to racing within a month.

Good luck Ken

New owner to the kennel Ken Brewer who owns a 1/2 share in Chosen Career has dug deep again and has took a 1/2 share in recent intake Proud Mel.
Ken has really enjoyed owning dogs again after many years out the sport so lets hope this classy bitch can give Ken some more great nights out racing.
Don't miss out on the other 50% available in Mel as she will be open class.
1/2 share in Proud Mel
£1600

Penny drops

We said the penny will drop soon and it did with Headiton Sharpy at the 6th attempt on Monmores BAGS card yesterday. Like his siblings he found trouble but has clearly learned how to cope with the hustle and bustle of racing with a powerful run to win by 2L, onwards and upwards.
On the same card Sharpy's brother Headiton Murph made it 3 wins from his last 4 races with victory in A5.
Finally to complete the treble Auckland Blue grabbed his chance in A4 with all four paws when leading from trap to linerecording  28.88.

Allen's Day

Great to see Noirs Allen get his head in front again, he's been mixing it in good company for a while now but the ease in A1 did the trick when he proved too speedy for Whittle Eagle in the final race at Monmore on Saturday night clocking 28.32

4 wins in 2 days

Winless since his debut in A3 7 races ago, Fionntra Chris dropped back in trip to prove way too strong for his rivals in A2 winning nicely in 28.45 on Thursday. Not to be outdone on the same card, Roys Boy showed his quality when winning his A1 from our own Applicant in 28.22!
Friday's BAGS card matched these victories with wins for Dublinhill Magic who was lurking in A4 and also Standbye Athena who bounced back to form in A6 with a cosy victory.

Heads you win

Just the one winner at Monmore today, after sister Vikki's win, Headiton Murph stepped up to the plate and proved what a tough nut he is. Bumped and barged at least three times in his race he displayed real guts to get up near the line to record his second career win.
All eyes now on slow learner sibling Headiton Sharpy who's drawn a blank in four starts so far but we're confident his 'O' will soon go.

A three at the Green

Three good winners to catch up on from the weekend.
First up on Friday was Student Princess who has now won three from her last six races, fast away she was never headed in her A1 and she coasted to victory on a -.50 track.
Next up was HeadIton Vikki who showed she'd learned plenty from her debut the previous week when taking this A7 despite trouble in running, she is a strong running pup and should progress nicely from here.
On Saturday Lacken Smokey made it win number five from only eleven starts with a comfortable success in A3 grade, that's a strike rate of nearly 50% and he's only been out of the first three on two occasions!

Blooming Bloemfontein

Bloemfontien is the only pup left for sale out the very successful litter
Droopys Scolari x Pleasant moments
The penny has dropped with this lovely blue dog now with him recently going up the grades to A4.
Don't forget Bloemfontien is not 2 years old until September, so there is plenty more to come and will give his new owners a few years fun nights racing.
For a quick sale to stay in the kennel
Bloemfontien is £1,000 only.

Auckland's New

Long standing loyal owner Richard Taylor has taken his tally of dogs up to 7 now with the 50% purchase of Auckland Blue.
I hope This stunning pup out of Pleasant Moments gives Richard and Peter Symonds many more wins in the future.

No Floundering for Megry

Flandy Megry is just about to turn 4 years old and she contested the highest grade in her career today in A2. You'd think it would be beyond her but Megry has always defied the odds and made it win number 20 with her typical late dash to the line.
Way to go Megs

For Sale

I'm Proud to offer my first greyhound
for a while for sale on my website.
Take a look at Proud Mel, this stunning black bitch is bred out of the famous Lemon line and the dam line has produced the famous Scolari Me Daddy.
Proud Mel is an August 14 puppy and
In her schooling trials at Waterford
She has recorded some fantastic times, a flying sprint of 16.64 and a superb 28.92 for the 525.
This bitch has been reared by Paddy
Whelan who we have bought many dogs off over the years, Paddy has recently reared one of the fastest dogs in Ireland Proud Graham.
I have no doubt Mel with her blistering early pace will win many Open races in the UK.
The times that Proud Mel has done around Waterford for a puppy are top class and if she had been reared by some of the well known breeders in Ireland she would fetch around 10k.
I'm please to offer this Ja Mann x Lemon Mel bred August 14 bitch
At £4,000.

As always first come first serve basis,
So call 07885 632329 to avoid
Disappointment.

National Weekend

Two winners last night to kick off the Grand National Weekenend.
Auckland Blue is still proving upwardly mobile, he started his career in A7 and after last nights good win will now be mixing it in A3.
After two 6th place finishes in his first two races Headiton Murph appreciated the very slow going when powering through at the last bend to win going away by over 3L.
For what its worth the two im backing in the National are The Druids Nephew and Ucello Conti....under starters order !

The response from my post yesterday
Has already attracted old owners back to West View, I would like to welcome back Nigel & Jennifer Balderston, who owned Ballymac Farrah with me back in 2011.

This stunning 34kg black dog, bred
Ja Mann x Lemon Mel looks the real deal, lets hope Nigel and Jennifer

All systems go

Dear Owners,
After months of speculation about me selling West View Farm and packing in training, I would like to put these roomers to bed, I have no intention in handing in my licence, and hopefully I will be training for many years to come, With the mess greyhound racing is in at the minute, I don't think any trainer can guarantee how long they can stay in the sport.
But I will keep trying and recently I went over to Ireland and purchased some real nice pups, one of which I will be advertising on the blog shortly.
Yes its been a tough couple of years, with the move to Towcester a disaster personally,
But since moving back to Monmore we have had plenty of winners and in the final four months back at Monmore last year, we ended up top of the percentage's, and not forgetting we still won a Cat one last year, winning the Arc at Swindon with Kippers Usain, and also the old veteran Cape Impact, who won more opens then any other greyhound in the UK in 2015, so not that bad of a year overall.
As I rent out a kennel block to the Rugby & Coventry RGT, I only have room for around 50 dogs these days, I will never go back to the days when I trained well over 100 dogs,
and had dogs running all over the country, every night of the week.
All I can say is the dogs are still looked after and fed the very best at West View, and always will be,Yes I admit I do not go racing as much as I used to, as my three boys, play a lot of sport and need there father, but mark my words, I still want to win races and
It doesn't matter if its an open race or an A10, myself and the kennel staff, still want to
win, and will continue to do that for some time yet.
So over the next few weeks, I will advertising some talented greyhounds on the blog page and hopefully, I can attract my current owners, some old owners or any new owners back to West View Farm and purchase a few dogs.

Gliding High

Only the one winner last night at Monmore, High Glider came out the best in a 3 way photo of shortheads to record his second win in 28.73
