5 Alive!

5 fantastic winners today!
Snooty Deb was first up on Monday's BAGS card at Monmore. Getting off the mark at the fifth attempt in A7 class, we expect Deb to progress well now.
Answer Me This was next and made the breakthrough from A4 company with a hard fought neck victory.
Standbye Athena played her part in the afternoon with a welcome win in A6, recent for sale dog Bloemfontein won    right on cue despite missing the break and looks a winner without a penalty in my book.
The icing on the cake was good ol' Veteran at Nottingham in the Stadium Bookmakers Maiden Final. We told you last week after the heats that he would be extremely hard to beat with such a big time advantage on his rivals, and so it was as he romped to a 9 1/4L success at EVS, top work from a bloody top team!!

A weekend Trio

A few winners to catch up on, Friday at the Green saw Awesome Lass get back in the groove, she hadn't won since Boxing Day but did little wrong in her S2 when proving too string from the 3rd bend.
Later on the same card Lacken Smokie was having his 2nd run back from 4 months on the sidelines but proved well up to this A4 test with a really good performance (he can win again soon)
On Saturday, Student Princess showed the extra lessons had paid off when she won an A3, her first win in eight starts for us, hopefully she can reach the top of the class yet!

Veterans Day at Nottingham

Veteran proved too wiley for the opposition last night at Nottingham, he won his heat of the Nottingham Maiden Standard Trophy in 30.14 and must be a warm order for the decider with the other two heats being won in 30.41 and 30.51.
Going back to Saturday at Monmore, High Glider who was without a win since last November appreciated considerably the ease to A4 class with an authoritative display to cross the line over 5L to the good.

Half Marathon

The kennels will be closed to owners this Sunday due to the Coventry half marathon.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause

Rajarah is the Lad

Two more BAGS winners this aftee' at Monmore.
Chosen Career gets back in the winners enclosure after taking an A2 and Rajarah Lad makes it win number 2 from only four races with glory in A4 despite the upgrade from A5 without actually winning it. Incidently this is yet another winner from that Pleasant Moments litter 😉

Laird of the Glen

Barnagrane Glen lorded it over her rivals last night at Monmore. She has now won 3 out of her last 4 races taking A1 and now two opens. Her early pace is a potent weapon in thesecontests and she had just enough to hold on from the fast finishing Swallows Ford

Two from the Green

Great to see Peytons Boy register the second win of his career on Mondays BAGS card.
Not to be outdone, Auckland Blue showed real talent winning by nearly 7L in 28.97 and will never see A7 again.

Quality!

On what the Irish would call yielding going we managed a quality three timer last night kicking off with Roys Boy in the A3, on only his second start he proved too classy for his rivals to win in 29.06 (-.40) We hinted about the six bend potential of Sales Fever recently and he duly did the business straight into S1 grade with a stunning display of pace, sure he tired a little late on but for a first staying effort on -70 going it was a hell of a run.
Last but not least came Barnagrane Glen in the A1, already proven in Open class he was sent off 11/10F and never gave his supporters a moments worry with a handy 3L win in 28.85 (-.50)
Top work from a top team!

From the bottom to the top

Two winners at either end of the spectrum at Monmore last night, both equally as welcome mind.
Gortkelly Nidge was dropped to sprinting and he proved well up to the task when taking the Open by 5 1/2L in 15.57
Kilfinny Rusty stepped up to the plate as 9/4F in A9 when proving 2 1/2L too good for the opposition

No weather woes

The shocking winter weather continues but it wasn't enough to stop Sales Fever running away from his rivals in A2 class on his 3rd run at Monmore, this 7L winner will do it over 4 and 6 bends no worries.
In the very next race Moanteen Samson, upgraded into A3 the week before despite getting beaten in A4 company appreciated the immediate ease in grade when getting up on the line for a narrow victory

No Clonmel Hangover

A couple of winners to catch up on after a great weekend at Clonmel watching the National Coursing Finals.
Head Iton Olive got her head in front for the first time since Her November Open race win when prevailing by the narrowest margin on Fridays BAGS card in S2.
Rejarrah Lad won on his debut for us on Monday, we trained the dam Pleasant Moments who had plenty of ability and this son of Droopys Scolari seems to have plenty too and is well worth following as he progresses up the graded ladder from A6
