A Joyous time

After bolting in by 5L last time in A5, Joy for Roy was upped two grades to A3 on Thursday but it made no difference to the result as she led high wide and handsome throughout to win on -.80 going at the Christmas odds of 8/1...safe to say Roy is on top of her game as we go into 2017.
Also on the same card Space Flyer grabbed another A3, despite early crowding they other could not withstand his big finish and he prevailed by 1 1/4L in 28.72

Christmas Cheering

Lots going on in the past few days but mustn't forget to give a mention to Auckland Blue at the Green on Friday, it was a little overdue stepping up to six bends but it worked out fine with a debut victory in S3, more than capable of holding his own in higher grade too.
On today's Boxing Day matinee card we had two winners, Proud Mel who is almost never out of the first three recorded another fine win in A3.
Vigorous Debbie was our other winner, she won A3 a couple of weeks ago and then today led all the way in S1 in 39.04

Round upski

It must be Sunday as its round up time!
Friday saw the kennel record a nice BAGS treble.
First out of the blocks was Fionntra Chris in S3, to say this win was overdue is an understatement as it was back on 18th June he last got his head in front.
In the very next race Standbye Athena made it career win number fourteen, dropped in grade to A6 she needed no second invitation to do the business when winning by 1/4L in 29.23.
Finally on Friday, Peytons Boy made favourite backers jolly when striding on to win the A8 in 29.42 at odds of 7/4
Saturday was not quite as productive but we still got two good winners over the line when Afan Jack doubled his win ratio with a comfortable first in A6 in 29.16 on very slow going (-.70)
Finally Roys Boy proved he can still bring home the bacon in top grade A1 with a very stylish win by 4L in a rapid 28.34

Sunday, 11 December 2016

Four!

4 nice winners this weekend to log.
Friday we had Sun Visor go in by a head in A2 class and clocking 28.69.
A treble was recorded on Saturday's evening card at Monmore kicking off with Snooty Lass in A3, she had to share the spoils however after the judged declared a dead heat!
Vigorous Debbie was next, again in A3 she didn't make us sweat this time, running out a comfortable winner by over 3L in 28.69.
Finally Proud Mel made no mistake in A4 grade, this game sister to our own Lemon Man stopped the clock in 29.02

Welcome Joe

I would just like to welcome back Joe McKenna to our team at West View, Joe has previously worked for me for many years and was part of the team when i became champion trainer back in 2011, Joe gives us great experience and will help the other members of the team (head lads) Martyn Prince and Paul Halpin.

We had also added another member of staff Mick Collins who will help out with the driving.

As you can see i am getting together a great team of staff again, so i can cater for open race and graded runners up and down the country for the upcoming year.

Stop Press

This morning we just received a fabulous young pup at Westview Kennels - This pup is Only a September 2015 whelp.

She is undoubtedly classically bred - by the leading stud dog in the UK or Ireland for a number of years - 'Droopys Scolari'

Scolari has produced countless of category one event class greyhounds. Dam - 'Blue Aero' - is by another legend 'Westmead Hawk'

She has already produced 28.97 dogs at Clonmel in her 1st litter.

This pup has had only 2 trials on her card to date and to say they were impressive is an understatement.

Running at Clonmel (one of the toughest tracks in Ireland) on frosty winter conditions which led to the track not running fast, this pup won her 2 starts by over 20 lengths!

In her sprint run she catapulted from traps - and won by 12 lengths in 16.60 - ( the dog she beat 12 lengths came out and recorded 16.89 in his next run) (sonic safari)

In her very 1st 525 yards off her life she once again showed some serious early and won by 11 lengths in a time of 29.50.

This was a fabulous run for one so young (qualifying time is 30.70)

We made enquiries for her straightaway after this and we saw her in her next run in which she clocked - 29.37 - once again the track wasn't fast as it was run in frosty overnight conditions -

All this young lady do is improve leaps and bounds from this - This pup quite simply could be anything - very few her age record the times she has done already - only the real top class acts.

We have secured her for what we belief is a very low modest 4 figure sum - she will be campaigned in puppy races until late next year.

Prospective owners are welcome to come to the kennels and view this young pup and to discuss her with me further.

Lemon is the Man

Think its pretty safe to say that Lemon Man is the top dog at Monmore right now. Last night he recorded his 4th win on the bounce and has now reeled off A2, A1, OR, A1 and from traps 1-2-3!

Thursday, 1 December 2016

2 Down!

So much for 3 meetings tonight, Monmore and Henlow have cancelled just as the dogs arrived at the tracks.
I'm on my way currently to Belle Vue, fingers crossed it goes ahead

In new year.

Vic & Star

Two from the Green today, Ballygibba Star made certain of his second win with a good break resulting in a 5L victory in 28.96!

Earlier on the card, Headiton Vikki rode some trouble to pretty much lead all the way in S2 to win by 1L

Thursday, 24 November 2016

Glen too Good

Barnagrane Glen wins heat 7 of the Oaks at Belle Vue, she led all the way to win by nearly 4L in 27.80

Prospect for Sale

We have just been given first refusal on a potential champion young pup who at only 14 months old already looks to have a huge future ahead of him.
He has only ever had one handslip and two runs out of the boxes - He is classically bred as he is by the top class young sire 'Ballymac Vic' - who was an outstanding talent - Reached the final of the 2013 English derby - Has already produced the likes of 'Ballymac Brogan' and 'Ballymac Mossjoe' as well as 'California' top open racer with a 27.23 at Henlow.

This pup's dam ('Pots & Pans) is also proven to produce top open class - She was trained here at Westview Kennels - and was going to be 'OAKS CLASS' until she got injured and was retired for breeding.

She has already produced the likes of 'See No Gamble' - 28.28 at Wimbledon - £25,000 refused 23.85 at Romford he was top derby class until injury.

'Pots and Pans' has also produced the likes of -'Frankies Lad'- 28.30 Monmore - reached the final of the Trafalgar Puppy cup - 'Down the Green' - 28.65 Tralee - (£8,000 refused) 28.88 Limerick - 'Between the lines' - 28.71 Shelbourne - 'Minnies Elana' - 16.26 at Brighton for the 285m (open class)

As the above - shows 'Pots and Pans' in her brief breeding career to date - has bred major open class racers.

This 'Ballymac Vic' pup - is only a Sept 2015 Baby

On only his 2nd time in traps he has recorded 16.81 on a slow running track at Clonmel (due to frosty conditions)
This pup is brindle in colour and has yet to be even named - he has bundles of improvement left in him - he will easily do 16.30 at Clonmel once he gets more schooling and is allowed to develop. - he has clocked the same times as 'See No Gamble' and the likes of 'Frankies Lad' before they both came to the UK..

He has been offered to us direct from the breeder at what we consider a very reasonable low four figure sum.

Interested parties can contact me on - 07885 632329 - to discuss this highly exciting pup further. With he pace he has already shown he looks tailor made for all next years top puppy competitions.

Big Wheel

Four superb winners on Saturday, Lacken Smokey was first up and was not winning out of turn with a near 4L romp in A3 company in 28.61.

Next came Redhot Mille who was on 3 timer and duly obliged, it was a harder A2 than the week before but they forgot to tell Millie! 28.59 and 5/1!!!

Headiton Teecee won the battle of top 6 bender at Monmore with a terrific performance in S1 stopping the clock in 38.00

Finally Lemon Man bookended the other top heat this time over 480m and by 5L no less in a quality 28.26.

Big wheel keeps on turning people ;-)

Steak Dinners

1/2 Ton Rib-eyed steaks arrived this morning, only the best for the dogs at West View.

Winners

It's round up time again and what a great few days!
Friday we had Afan Troy winning the S4 in 38.99 followed quickly by Colarhouse Hope winning A5 in 29.06.
Saturday saw Redhot Millie winning two in a row with a fine 28.68 effort in A2 class. Sales Fever got back on the winning trail getting up near the line to grab an S2 in 38.26.

Finally on Saturday's card Lemon Man appreciated the ease in grade to A2 when recorded 28.64 despite meeting a ton of trouble.

Monday's BAGS card gave us a not unexpected win with Colarhouse Bound who said thank you very much for the A6 for an all the way win in 29.07

All Ready

Three days of hard graft but it's worth it!
We have a 250yd silca sand gallop re levelled and sanded ready for action.
We are looking to go back on the Open race scene again in 2017 and we're on the look out for some nice dogs.
If any new owners would like to join us at West View kennels, just give me a call, we have a proven track record and if we have the tools to work with we can go up and down the Country beating the best.
I'm still the last trainer to beat Mark Wallis in the Trainers Championship Title back in 2011.
So if any owner new or old fancies a crack at some Group 1 races next year, give me a call on 07885 632329.

Thursday, 3 November 2016

Maxing it out...again!

Maxitout has been a real points scorer for Monmore in the BAGS Track Championship so far. A winner in the Towcester leg, 4th at Swindon and now after yesterdays great effort a winner at Monmore.
It's all to play for going into the last leg at Hall Green, Towcester lead the way but only just, perm any one from Towcester, Monmore and Hall Green to top the regional table.

Winners Winners...Chicken Dinners!

Winners time again, Head Iton Teecee, without a win unsurprisingly since that three timer back in June, got back in the groove this week with a smart 3L victory in S2 class.
Frankies Lad got up in the last strides to win the an A1 in 28.34 and that should set him up nicely for our home challenge in the BAGS Track Championships this Monday coming.
Head Iton Vicki usually records a win in every calendar month and was right on time for November with a cosy S3 win in 38.53.

On Friday's BAGS card yesterday we had a stunning 4 timer.
Sun Visor who may be better known as Holdem Commanche got the ball rolling with a stunning win in A2 after being on the sidelines for a few months. He led from start to finish for a near 5L win in 28.47!
Flandy Megry continues to amaze everyone with another career win, this time in S2 class despite and despite the comments in running of Crd1&6, Led6!
Peytons Boy who you couldn't describe as prolific in his career, weighed in with a powerful run to score in A8
Scroggy Cheery bought up the 4 timer with the 3rd win of her career when stopping the clock in 29.47 in A7 and at the rewarding odds of 6/1.

7 Up

Richard Taylor has once again emptied his piggy bank and bought Pascals Law, (the pup we advertised on the blog last week).

This new purchase takes Richard's tally of dogs in the kennel to 7.

Myself and the staff at West View would like to thank Richard for his continued support of the kennel and wish him the very best of luck with his new pup.

Wednesday, 19 October 2016

Bricki was no 'Lay'

A couple of winners to catch up on.
Bricki made it 2 from 9 last Friday, recording an almost identical time of 29.38 to his other win and also in A8.
On the same card Auckland Blue, without a win since that double way back in May, finally got back on the horse with a satisfying victory in A5 class clocking 29.06

Friday, 14 October 2016

Megs!

Its only taken us 134 races to enter Flandy Megry into an Open but she rewarded us all with a win last night. In a 630m Maiden she proved too strong for the opposition when powering to a near 3L win in 38.53...and as 2/1Fav!!
Later on the same card Jaffer made it three wins in a row with an equally impressive win in A1 again, he continues to chop lumps of his times and is clearly going places now

Wednesday, 12 October 2016

A double

A nice double on Monday's BAGS card at Monmore, Redhot Millie looked certain to take an A3 at any time as she has mixed it in better class for a good while. She won by 1/4L in 28.76.
We've found the key to Express Bressie now and its definitely 6 bends as this win in S2 confirms. She made a good break this time to lead all the way in 38.49 and should win plenty over this 630m going forward.

For Sale

Newsflash : We have just been given 1st refusal on a terrific young pup.
This pup is a Jan 15 whelp with brilliant breeding by one of Irelands leading upcoming sires
'Mall brandy' - sire of 'Priceless brandy' (track record holder Kilkenny)
This pups dam - 'Meet In Bally' is a full litter sister to one of the best dogs we have ever trained here at Westview Kennels, namely the brilliant 'Proud Berry' - who until injury, was one of the best pups on the English racing scene. 'Proud Berry' beat the likes of the legendary -'Ballymac Eske' and 'Blonde Regan' - The Ledger and TV Trophy winner.

Only this week this young pup flew around Clonmel recording 16.38 for the 300 yards - He has also recorded 29.16 there for the 525 yards.
We have very good comparisons from the past from other top open race dogs we have bought from Clonmel.

With the times this pup has already recorded - He has a very bright future ahead of him.
He is ideal for all puppy open competitions

This pup will not cost 'big' money - He is available for a low modest 4 figure sum.

Please - contact me direct on - 07885 632329

Top Grade Double

If you're going to have a double at Mnonmore, what better than two A1's. On Thursday Jaffer kicked it off with an all the way win in 28.36, not to be outdone Snooty Blue did it the opposite way when snatching victory right on the line in 28.40.
We had another two winners on this afternoons BAGS card when Headiton Teeny did favourite backers a good turn, winning well in S4 class in 38.92. The final race on the card saw another first for Standbye Athena who got uo late on in A4 company at rewarding odds of 5/1

Tuesday, 4 October 2016

Round Up

Its round up winners time again.

Headiton Vikki took the S3 on Friday, it was only by a head but they all count.

Saturday, good ol' Bloemfontein scored by nearly 4L in A5 and is safely out of the wilderness now.

On the same card Jaffer proved too fleet of foot for the opposition when a length victor in A2, he must have extra webbing on his feet as the going was -.60!

All if our dogs trialled well at Perry Barr in readiness for Sunday's round of the BAGS Track Championship, Roys Boy went particularly well clocking the fastest trial in 28.44

Sunday, 25 September 2016

What a Lad!

A relatively quiet week by our standards. We helped fly the flag at Monmore in the BAGS qualifier on Friday at Swindon.
Thursday back at the Green we had a double. Head Iton Murph pretty much kissed goodbye to A2 class for a good while I reckon after destroying his A2 in a rapid 28.28, later on the same card Frankies Lad who had only mixed it in top company recorded his first Gold when winning the A1 in 28.46. He's all class and his 4/6 starting price reflected that. Much more to come now he has his head in front.

Friday, 23 September 2016

Roys the Boy

Roys Boy wins the BAGS SIS Track Championship 480m Standard this morning at Swindon.
Maxitout ran well to be 4th Championship Dogs

Sunday, 18 September 2016

A winner a day keep the Doctor away!

Weekly housework is in order.
Monday, Lacken Smokey wins A3 in 28.66, Thursday we had Bricki getting on the scoresheet for the first time in only five races and winning A8 in 29.34.
Friday it was Barnagrane Glen's turn, without a win in highest company since February, she proved more than enough to take the A2 in 28.52
Finally on Saturday Snooty Blue whi was another to appreciate the drop to A2 when scorching away to win easy as the 4/6F in 28.51

Sunday, 11 September 2016

Max points

Both our runners performed with great credit on Friday at Towcester in Leg One of the BAGS Track Championship.
Maxitout as predicted did come on for his trial and kept out of trouble to win easily in the end by 3 1/2L in 28.45
Sales Fever picked up what could be vital points for Monmore's challenge when keeping on well in the stayers to finish 3rd.

Roys Boy kept home fires burning when recording the fifth win of his career in A1 clocking 28.24 on Thursday night.

Wednesday, 7 September 2016

BAGS Track Championship 2016

Its the first round of our regions BAGS Track Championship on Friday at Towcester. It's a brilliant competition which Monmore proudly won in 2011, it would be great to do well this year and give the favourites a run for their money.
We are there to do our best but the home challenge does look formidable, especially with 2 in every race (home advantage)
Maxitout goes for us in the Standard.
He ran pretty wide in his trial and cannot afford to give so much ground away but there should be improvement for the look and a better show is expected.
Sales Fever runs in the stayers and is a very solid performer who should pick up his share of points, the local runner in T6 is at the peak of her powers and will be hard to peg back.

I don't like Mondays...I love them!!

Whoever said they don't like Mondays??
We had a treble at Monmore starting with Ballygibba Star. He has certainly settled in well as after a highly promising debut last week he made no mistake at the second time of asking in A4 company recording a solid and potential bursting 28.78.
Chosen Career was always a winner waiting to happen in A2 class and so it proved with hard fought 28.41 win.
Finally we had Express Radar, dropped from A1 last week to A3, he didn't need a second invitation to blitz his rivals in 28.24...goodbye A3 forever!!

Sunday, 4 September 2016

A4 galore!

A few winners to catch up on this weekend. On Thursday Head Iton Sharpy, seemingly languishing in A5 company after winning A6 nine runs back finally made the breakthrough with his fastest career run in 28.88!
Friday saw Colarhouse Bound add win number two to her CV with a solid effort leading all the way in A4 class to clock 28.90.
Also on Friday, Joy For Roy got back on the winners trail, without a victory since June she made no mistake when taking her A4 in 28.78

Sunday, 28 August 2016

Under the Radar

Remember them three Express dogs I advertised cheaply on FB?
Express Radar was first to strike Gold on Friday at Monmore.
He easily took the A1 on his third run for us and in a good 28.47. A1 and beyond now beckons.

Friday, 26 August 2016

Rain Rain.....

The heavy rain couldn't stop us from having a couple of winners last night. Headiton Teeny seemed to enjoy the puddles when keeping well wide and splashing her way to a 4 1/2L A6 victory in 29.20.
Maxitout pretty much did the same thing albeit in A1 class when swooping late to collar Suave Cougar by a neck in 28.34

Monday, 22 August 2016

Gold for Wakulla

It's the end of the Olympics in Rio but we struck Gold today with our own Wakulla Gold!
Not two until December she recorded the 4th win of her short career, this time in A2 class, holding all at bay for a nice 28.86 romp

Sunday, 21 August 2016

Round Up Time

A quick weekend round up is in order.
Thursday was a tremendous meeting for the Gold Cup which was won in great style by Jaytee Spartacus.
We got off the mark later on in the evening with Jaffer taking the A2 despite a double upgrade after his recent A4 waltz...he is vey progressive!.
Headiton Murph proved he's a top grade performer after 5 races in a A1 he won very well in 28.47.
On Saturday, Standbye Athena continued to notch up wins with a nice performance in A4 when clocking 28.97.

Friday, 12 August 2016

Double Cherry

An interesting week so far, Scroggy Cherry notched her first win for us after four races when taking the A9 on Monday. Blackstone Titan added to his win tally with a good 28.61 A3 romp at odds of 8/1 (lucky the dog doesnt know what price he is!)
Thursday we saw Bloemfontein win again in A3 in 29.02 followed by Jaffer who got off the mark at the 4th attempt  in A4 class clocking 28.63.
Scroggy Cherry was turned out again today and despite a double upgrade to A7 so obliged with the minimum of fuss in 29.25.

Saturday, 6 August 2016

Two Golds at Monmore (Not Rio!)

Two winners on yesterdays BAGS card at the Green.
Wakulla Gold registered the 3rd win of her career, starting off in A6 she won an A3 yesterday in 28.61.
Peytons Boy, without a first since the beginning of April got back on track with a cosy victory in an A8 clocking 29.42

Tuesday, 2 August 2016

Express by name......

Express Ocean 28.47
Express Radar 28.56
Express Bressie 28.64
Wow cheap dogs!!
Call to avoid disappointment

Monday, 1 August 2016

Good as Gould

Mike Gould has decided to take a 1/4 share in the Express dogs, his love for the game has grown again from the fun Standby Athena has given him over the last few months.

Sunday, 31 July 2016

Weekend Round Up

Here's the weekend round up.
Friday we had Colarhouse Bound winning at the 4th attempt in her short career, all A5's, she's clearly learning fast and showed some nice early to get her head in front, more wins await!
On Saturday we saw Colarhouse Hope (no relation) win, she debuted in A3 last week and was immediately dropped a grade to which she clearly appreciated judging by this 28.84 win.
Later on in the card we had a 1-2 in the A1 when Roys Boy got first run on Chosen Career to record 28.33

New Express Syndicate

All the Express dogs recently advertised are now £2500 for all three!!
I am putting a syndicate together of four people @£625 per1/4 share.
These dogs will all run top heat at Monmore.
Rich Taylor has once again put his hand up and took a 1/4 share.
These dogs will give their new owners plenty of fun nights out for sure.
Call now to snap up a share.

Tuesday, 26 July 2016

Flandy not floundering

Now at the veteran stage of her career, Flandy Megry proved she's no back number. After dropping a hint last week of her well-being by running a nice race to be beaten a neck in the same grade, Megry stepped up to the A3 on yesterday's BAGS card at Monmore and make it career win number 22!

Monday, 25 July 2016

Anyone for an Expresso?

We have three Express dogs for sale
All have some age about them but have no miles on the clock.
All will run in top grades over 4 and 6 bends.
All three are cheap , due to there age

Wednesday, 20 July 2016

Teeny, not so Weeny!

Just the one winner on Monday's BAGS card, Headiton Teeny registered win number two of her short career with a 4L success in A8. She found trouble early but powered into the lead to win well in 29.36.

Monday, 18 July 2016

Smoking!

Its weekend round up time starting with a double on Friday at the Green.
Standbye Athena won A4 by the minimum margin in 28.80 and made it two wins on the bounce, she now mixes it in the highest grade she's been in next time, A3.
Redhot Millie proved just that in A2 company, winning by over 4L in 28.55...A1 now awaits!

On Saturday Lacken Smokie 'smoked' the A2 in 28.56 and made it 3 wins from his last 4 races

Wednesday, 13 July 2016

Four More

The kennel recorded a quality three timer at Monmore on Saturday, first up was Bloemfontaine who continues the rise from P7 to now A2 with a 28.79 clocking.
Blackstone Titan took the first A2 in 28.74 and then Snooty Lass took the other with a cosy 5 1/4L win in 28.56 and will now mix it at the top table.
Musn't forget Milo Verness on Monday either who took the A9 and made it career win number two in the process.

Monday, 4 July 2016

Kicking off with Snooty Deb in the A5, she's now got 4 notches on her lead.
Headiton Vikki quickly made it win number two on the card in A7, then Blackstone Titan showed what he can really do in A3 with a solid 3 1/2L win.
Not quite finished yet, we saw Joy For Roy record back to back wins this time in A4.
Add to the tally another two second placers and it shows just how consistent and well all the dogs at Westview are running.

No Brexit here

Must say a big thank you to Dean and Paula Martin, who today after all the trouble and uncertainty after the leave vote, still had time to think about the sport they love and bought Bloemfontein and Redhot Millie
Thanks again long serving owners Dean and Paula.

Redhot!

Redhot Millie was the start of a three timer last night at the Green.
Doing well to get up after early crowding she goes from A5 to A2 in two hits!
Joy for Roy made a welcome return to the podium, without a win since March he pulled out plenty when challenged to hold all comers at bay for a 3/4L in A5.
Finally Lacken Smokey who is always dangerous in A3 company competed the treble with a cosy 4L victory.

21 and Counting

6 winners for the kennel and owners this weekend.
Head Iton Sharpy was in A9 but now will be mixing it in A5 from now on.
Wakulla Gold blitzed her A5 by 4 1/2L and will also be climbing her way to the top.
Snooty Deb appreciated the grader relenting a little with her as she proved too talented for A6 company.
Snooty Lass won A3 on Saturday, she has been an amazingly consistent greyhound always clocking around the 29 second barrier, she certainly knows where the winning line is.
Chosen Career broke very well in the A2 and then put 5 1/4L between him and his rivals at the winning line for a hugely impressive win.
Finally the classy Fionntra Chris made it win number four on his CV when taking last nights S1 by 4L

On a side note, Pleasant Moments litter to Headbound have now recorded their 21st win, not bad for a litter that's not two until September!

For Sale

Pukka Kate for sale £1500
This young bitch will win opens over 6 bends
Also recent winner Redhot Millie for sale
£800 which is an absolute bargain
This bitch will make A1!

Four!

Four weekend winners to catch up on starting with Friday.
Redhot Millie got the ball rolling with a 5L win in A5, one thing is clear with Millie, when she wins, she wins well, 5L, 7L, 6 1/4L, 4L and 2 3/4L are her winning margins so far.
Proud Mel got off the mark at her second attempt on the same card, set up with a very good sectional of 4.30, the result for the 2/1F was never in doubt. She will progress a lot further for sure.

Onto Saturday and Head Iton Teecee was too frisky for the S1 when winning by 3L in 38.16
Finally Seoul Arora who went from A7 to A3 in one hit, proved that was no barrier with a near 6L win in 28.64 and is another that's making rapid progress up the ladder.

Just Pukka

Milo Verness won for us this afternoon, I believe his Dam Roeview Beauty used to run at Monmore and was owned by Ladbrokes staff and headed by commentating legend George. He's no world beater but that should never detract from the pleasure of a win and Milo is up and running on his 3rd attempt.
On Saturday, rather like Milo we had Pukka Kate winning on her 3rd attempt also.
It shows what a good place to buy out of is Thurles, Kate was A8 at the Tipperary track but scored in A4 company at Monmore and is not done with yet by any means.

Just Awesome

It's Derby day at Wimbledon, sadly we have no runner so we will have to be content with three good winners at Monmore on Thursday night.
Head Iton Murph is becoming the proverbial winning machine, after only eleven races his win tally is now six!!, that takes some doing in graded affair. From A7 to A1 in 9 weeks.
Awesome Lass is more than living up to her name after recording an S1 double, this time by 6 1/2L in a good 38.23.
We marked your card about the potential of Maxitout and this August pup by Ja Mann is wasting no time in his career making it two from two when taking the A1 with a swashbuckling come from behind victory for a 3/4L win in 28.57

Monday, 30 May 2016

Un, Deux, Trois

Three more winners to be proud of from Westview.
Auckland Blue has broken through the A3 ceiling with a terrific run to record a personal best of 28.65.
Chosen Career got back on the winners podium and emulating Auckland Blue with another A3 in 28.61 and finally Awesome Lass improved her personal best too when taking an S1 for the first tie in a rapid 38.02....our dogs in all grades seem to be surpassing their PB's right now and long may it continue!

Chicken Dinner

A few winners to catch up on before the weekend starts.
Snooty Lass made it career win number 2 depite a troubled passage in her A3.
Last night Head Iton Teecee, upped further in distance after last weeks fine 630m win, belied her odds of 8/1 with a proper staying performance and winning well in 41.99.
Also on the same night Maxitout made a sparkling debut when showing real real class despite early trouble to win by nearly 3L in A2 class to record a 28.49 #couldbeanything

Not done with yet, the kennel took the A1 on the last race of the night with Student Princess, shrugging off two last placed finishes recently she cracked out and made all  in 28.51

Tuesday, 24 May 2016

Absolute bargain anyone??

Seoul Aurora and Redhot Millie had there final trials at Monmore yesterday and are now ready to race.
Seoul Aurora recorded a flying 28.80 with a sectional of 4.38, this August puppy bred out of Lemon Mel and half sister to Sales Fever is surely a bargain at £1500
With her blistering early pace she will be open class.
Redhot Millie was only 1 1/2 behind Aurora recording 28.91, this flying recent Harlow winner is a steal at £800.

Call me asap if interested in these two bargain buys

Allen...No, Chris...Yes!

The Derby Dream is over for Noirs Allen after Saturday's stumble from the traps, eventually coming home last behind contender for outright honours Ballymac Brogan.
We picked up the winning thread however when Fionntra Chris ran in an E2 over the little used distance of 684m at Monmore Green, starting at 5/4F on a track rated .80 slow, Chris held the pack at bay with a comfortable win by 1 1/2L

Friday, 20 May 2016

Wakulla nabs Gold

3 nice winners to mention in despatches.
On Thursday Auckland Blue made it win number four in A4 company with a solid 28.89 effort. On the same card Head Iton Teecee broke his duck in Open class with a convincing victory over 630m clocking 38.18.
This afternoons BAGS session was made a bit brighter with a first win in only three starts for Wakulla Gold in A6 grade (29.32)

Thursday, 19 May 2016

Seoul Aurora for Sale

She is a half sister to Sales Fever and full comrade to Maxitout and Proud Mel.
Seoul flew around Monmore in her trial recording 28.94, this bitch has already won 3 from 6 at Harlow and i have no doubt she will run in top grade at Monmore. She is only an August pup Is sure to improve now in professional
hands and who knows, she could turn out open class and at this price she is a real snip.
£1500 first come first served.

Teeny starting to grow

Both ends of the scale on Saturday at the Green, in the first race Headiton Teeny wins at the third time of asking in A10 grade and the last race of the night Applicant made it two A1 wins on the bounce with a classy 28.37 victory.
We were all delighted to see Noirs Allen progress to the third round of the Greyhound Derby at Wimbledon last night, he needed a little luck to qualify being a 33/1 shot but whilst trouble happened behind him he ran his usual game and honest race to chase home winner Lenson Sanchez, it's becoming a great ride with Allen.

Not so Blue

Snooty Blue is in the form of his life right now, after an impressive effort in winning at Nottingham in the week, he ran away with A1 back at Monmore, the distance of 7 1/4L exaggerates the margin a little due to missing trouble at the first, but it was a terrific effort all the same.
On Friday's BAGS card Headiton Murph made it an amazing four wins on the spin and taking his record to five wins from only eight career starts!! A7 to A2 now in double quick time.

In It To Win It

Another handy couple of winners on Friday afternoon.
Awesome Lass who remained in S2 despite last weeks win took full advantage to win again this time by 3 1/4L in a rapid 38.05!
Hurry Harry did just that when making it win No6 in his career when taking the A5.
Best of luck tonight to Noirs Allen in the Derby at Wimbledon tonight, the owners have bought a ticket and as the saying goes if you're not in it you can't win it, just ask Bruno Berwick!

Friday, 6 May 2016

Quality double

A nice quality brace at Monmore last night, Sales Fever won the maiden Open in 28.28 then Applicant captured the A1 in 28.27.

Tuesday, 3 May 2016

Murph rules

He doesnt do things flashy but Headiton Murph won again yesterday at Monmore, that's four wins from his last five starts going from A7 to now A3 with more yet to come...way to go Murph 👍

Monday, 2 May 2016

Glider, Lass and Fever

A little weekend housework to catch up on.
Thursday we saw High Glider make it two wins from his last three starts when capturing another A3, this lovely son of Hondo Black out of Spending Spree seems to be a standing dish in A3 class regardless of his SP (6/1)
On Saturday we nabbed a double courtesy of Awesome Lass and Sales Fever.
Lass, without a win since February got back on the horse so to speak with gritty all out finish to claim the S2.
Sales Fever took the top contest of the night despite early crowding to win well in a good 28.23 and adds this A1 to his portfolio.

1/4 of Glen

Dave Partridge who owns a 1/4 share in Barnagrane Glen has had to put his share up for sale due to family reasons, if anybody is interested in buying the 1/4 share off Dave, could you please give him a call on 07794 071263
Glen has been sidelined with a hip injury for a few week now, but should return to racing within a month.

Good luck Ken

New owner to the kennel Ken Brewer who owns a 1/2 share in Chosen Career has dug deep again and has took a 1/2 share in recent intake Proud Mel.
Ken has really enjoyed owning dogs again after many years out the sport so lets hope this classy bitch can give Ken some more great nights out racing.
Don't miss out on the other 50% available in Mel as she will be open class.
1/2 share in Proud Mel
£1600

Penny drops

We said the penny will drop soon and it did with Headiton Sharpy at the 6th attempt on Monmores BAGS card yesterday. Like his siblings he found trouble but has clearly learned how to cope with the hustle and bustle of racing with a powerful run to win by 2L, onwards and upwards.
On the same card Sharpy's brother Headiton Murph made it 3 wins from his last 4 races with victory in A5.
Finally to complete the treble Auckland Blue grabbed his chance in A4 with all four paws when leading from trap to linerecording  28.88.

Monday, 25 April 2016

Allen's Day

Great to see Noirs Allen get his head in front again, he's been mixing it in good company for a while now but the ease in A1 did the trick when he proved too speedy for Whittle Eagle in the final race at Monmore on Saturday night clocking 28.32

Saturday, 23 April 2016

4 wins in 2 days

Winless since his debut in A3 7 races ago, Fionntra Chris dropped back in trip to prove way too strong for his rivals in A2 winning nicely in 28.45 on Thursday. Not to be outdone on the same card, Roys Boy showed his quality when winning his A1 from our own Applicant in 28.22!
Friday's BAGS card matched these victories with wins for Dublinhill Magic who was lurking in A4 and also Standbye Athena who bounced back to form in A6 with a cosy victory.

Bargain Mel

I have negotiated a better deal with the breeder of Proud Mel.
He will except 4000 euros now for this stunning well bred bitch.
So Mel is for sale at £3,200
With the times this bitch has done around Waterford, she is a real bargain at this price.
Call asap to avoid disappointment.

Heads you win

Just the one winner at Monmore today, after sister Vikki's win, Headiton Murph stepped up to the plate and proved what a tough nut he is. Bumped and barged at least three times in his race he displayed real guts to get up near the line to record his second career win.
All eyes now on slow learner sibling Headiton Sharpy who's drawn a blank in four starts so far but we're confident his 'O' will soon go.

A three at the Green

Three good winners to catch up on from the weekend.
First up on Friday was Student Princess who has now won three from her last six races, fast away she was never headed in her A1 and she coasted to victory on a -.50 track.
Next up was HeadIton Vikki who showed she'd learned plenty from her debut the previous week when taking this A7 despite trouble in running, she is a strong running pup and should progress nicely from here.
On Saturday Lacken Smokey made it win number five from only eleven starts with a comfortable success in A3 grade, that's a strike rate of nearly 50% and he's only been out of the first three on two occasions!

Blooming Bloemfontein

Bloemfontien is the only pup left for sale out the very successful litter
Droopys Scolari x Pleasant moments
The penny has dropped with this lovely blue dog now with him recently going up the grades to A4.
Don't forget Bloemfontien is not 2 years old until September, so there is plenty more to come and will give his new owners a few years fun nights racing.
For a quick sale to stay in the kennel
Bloemfontien is £1,000 only.

Auckland's New

Long standing loyal owner Richard Taylor has taken his tally of dogs up to 7 now with the 50% purchase of Auckland Blue.
I hope This stunning pup out of Pleasant Moments gives Richard and Peter Symonds many more wins in the future.

Monday, 11 April 2016

No Floundering for Megry

Flandy Megry is just about to turn 4 years old and she contested the highest grade in her career today in A2. You'd think it would be beyond her but Megry has always defied the odds and made it win number 20 with her typical late dash to the line.
Way to go Megs
