The Hammer falls

Just the one winner so far this week, Baileys Quest won on Monday afternoon.
After a much needed a fair few winners last week it looks like the grader is back to his stopping us stone dead again, with dogs going up two grades for no reason at all and dogs being up graded without even winning.
We had a dog upgraded this week, who hasn't won a race for over 12 months.
Hats off to the grader!!!
Sorry owners, looking at Saturday and Mondays card, i cant see where our next winner is!!

Question for the owners.

What greyhound who i train has been running at Monmore for nine months now, started in a3 grade, went up to a2 for a while, without winning, still has never won a 480 graded race after 15 attempts
But still finds his self in a3.
His Monmore record is
1 win from 21 starts at Monmore.

Is he the harshest graded dog on the track??

Answer??

Heart Break

I was gutted for Old Refrain who ran her heart out to come from a long way behind to just get tired close home at Wimbledon tonight, but how do connections of Holdem Spy feel! he was put on the floor at the first bend then ran an incredible race to just miss out narrowly for a semi final place. The Scottish Derby winner is a true champ...dog racing is a cruel sport sometimes, many ups but many downs too!

David Torjusson's Chevy Blazer won at Nottingham last night and will run in another final next Monday.
The bad luck continues again at Monmore with no winners all over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The grader has really given us a hard time over the past few months and looking at Thursdays card
I cant see a winner there

Ricky and Me

Ricky Martin with his new dog Leave It To Me

Training Agreement

I have added a training agreement to the website (bottom of home page and For Sale page). The agreement is also being sent out to all owners this month. Due to a few instances I have decided to make it clear to everyone the agreement when a dog is placed at Westview for training.
I would like to stress that the vast majority of my owners have always been honest and reliable but I need to cover myself now and in the future for the sake of my business.

From the horses mouth

European King

Top class dog from Ireland, after a long lay off, he has yet to rekindle his true running, King has shown to us at home this week, some encourages signs and we are hopeful he can improve on his recent trials and keep qualifying and show us his true class.

Exocet

Probably the fastest dog i have ever trained, a proper competition dog who will always give 100%.
This old fellow owes myself and his owner Roly Woodcock nothing.
He had an outstanding 6 months for us last year and could of won greyhound of the year if winning the
Eclipse at Nottingham.
Not quite shown that old spark of last year yet, but is rarely out the first 3 and i have no doubt will go a long way.

Express Master

Very fast early pace dog, who has had a fair share of injuries of the past
6 months, on his day he is an aeroplane, the derby may have come
A bit to soon, but if getting good draws near the fence, he could keep
Qualifying and run into full fitness.

Ballyhoe Eclipse

A big ask for this very young dog
Who is still a maiden, but mark my words this fellow has great early pace
And when he learns to come away from the curves traps, he can roar into the corner and might surprise
A few.

From my Kennel

Best bet Exocet each way  @ 80/1
Like i said, only ran against the very
Best and is never out the first 3.

Out the Kennel

Swift Keith

Has been aimed at the Derby for a long time, very fast pup last year and has grown into a potential champion.
Trained by a true dog man
John Mullins.
