Merry Christmas everyone

Team Allsopp would like to wish everybody involved in our wonderful sport a very Merry Xmas and good luck in 2015.

Express is still the Master

Nice pic of Express Master after a hat trick of Bags Champs wins including yesterdays finals at Nottingham

Two painted ladies

Queen Mary and Queen Teresa

Baz Knight has snapped up a 1/4 share in the two Queens, Queen Mary and Teresa.
There are still three 1/4 shares available in these terrific bitches who should provide great fun for the owners.
Just to reiterate they are out of the great Oaks winners Shaws Dilemma, they both have an improving profile having started off in A4 graded company at Wimbledon they have now progressed to top grade and Opens with greyhound data ratings of 98 and 112.
Still lightly raced there looks more to come for sure and for only £1000 per 1/4 of a share (in both queens too!) its superb value.

Larky Ego was the closest we got last night to a victory with a running on second to Mays Alonso but the dogs continue to run well and will hit top form very soon no doubting.

We broke our Duck!

Aero Chick finally got the kennel on the scoresheet at Towcester tonight. She ran a gutsy race to win A4 in 28.66 and there looks plenty to come from her too.
Once again all the dogs ran well, in particular Proud Barney who really took a shine to the track and only just failed to hold the late charge from Downton Flyer...compensation awaits!

Still on a high from last night, I really believe we have found the new home of the greyhound Derby if it becomes available. Towcester have the expertise and track record to cope with big crowds and everything they do is of the highest standard. What a night and what a future for all of us that have invested in this dream.

Good luck girls

Proud young new owner to the sport
Michelle Lewis and sister Danielle
Come along this morning to walk their first ever greyhound.
Good luck girls!!

What a night!

Greyhound racing fans in the UK have been waiting for this for years, our very own shelbourne park.
Towcester has proved tonight that it is by far the best track in the country.
The facilities are out of this world
And the track ran like a dream,
With no trouble at all, even in the
8 dog races.
We had no winners, but realistically
We didn't expect one, to be honest.
Myself and the staff are just happy to be part of this amazing track and delighted with the feed back from
All the owners.
Towcester is the future of greyhound racing and it proved that tonight.
We are now slowing starting to re build a team of dogs, and we will
Have many new dogs running at Towcester in the new year.

Proud to be at Towcester

The Towcester effect is really taking off now with two more dogs arriving today, namely Proud Charm and Proud Beurney.
Both coming from top breeder Patrick Phelan from Waterford, Ireland.
Paddy has bred some great dogs over the years which we had the privilege to train.
Proud Patsy being a great dog, but how good would have John Nokes' dog Proud Berry have been.
This stunning white/black dog was unbeaten in 4 races and had  already taken the scalp of the great Ballymac Eske.
Sadly in a preparation trial for the Gymcrack at Kinsley he broke his hock and was retired as a pet.
His owner John Nokes has Berry at home now and he has become a real part of the family.

Steve Morgan, Nigel Loxton, Wayne Pinnell and John Stanaway had already negotiated a deal to bring over Proud Beurney from Ireland, but his 13 month old litter sister Proud Charm will be available on the for sale page shortly, so get ready for another little christmas cracker.
Owner John Nokes

All Welcome

Everybody is welcome to join us at Towcester don't forget we will be racing Friday and Saturday nights and entrance is free of charge.
So if you're an owner, racing fan or just fancy a night out at the dogs, come and join us at
Towcester Racecourse.

Alright Triggggaaa!!

Just minutes after posting the three Express dogs for sale, loyal owner Norman Hanks dived in
And bought Express Trigger, This 2 year won his only race to date around Clonmel in 29.07.
Norman has had some terrible look of late and has had to retire his 3 dogs Ballymac Warrior
Baileys Quest and Mixed Message recently.
Lets hope the new Towcester Track can give him Norman a change of luck and some enjoyable
nights racing.

Goodbye Green

GOODBYE AND THANK YOU

We have officially finished graded racing at Monmore Green Stadium now and will no more graded runners there.

We will still represent Monmore Green in the inter track final at Nottingham.

Team Allsopp had 8 fantastic years at Monmore and i would like to thank the general manager Richard Brankley for giving me the opportunity to race at the Green and the racing office and paddock staff, for making us all feel welcome

At all times.

Towcester have secured a bags contract and will be racing Friday and Saturday nights From June live on Bags.
This secures the future of the track and shuts up those punters saying the track will close within 6 months.

New For Sale

With the opening of Towcester on the horizon - we are constantly looking for new emerging race dogs.
Some dogs we are offered we feel are just not worth the money - dogs are being constantly offered to us at 5 figure sums.
However we have just secured 1 dog and 1 bitch for us at westview kennels -
Both these dogs are just raw young pups and are available at low four figure prices - They wont event Cost £2,500 but but they have been competing against dogs that have made £15,000 plus.

Lot 1
This is only a May 2013 baby -

This bitch has been racing in one of the hottest open race stakes in Ireland this year - The Rose Mcillhone Memorial stake at Clonmel - which was worth £5,000 to the winner
This stake contained the likes of 'Borna Gene' - 28.55 at Clonmel - sold for a massive five figure sum to race here in the UK

'Ballymac Georia' - 28.61 Clonmel - £12,000 refused - 'Mustang Chick' - five figure sum refused

As the above shows this stake consisted of some of the best young pups in Ireland.
From the moment this young lady qualified to race in a superfast - 29.34 in youghal - winning by 12 lengths she was earmarked for this competition.

In the 1st round this pup was actually only beaten 4 lengths by 'Borna Gene'

This pup performed with distinction in the heats to reach the final clocking times of 29.11 - 29.16 - 29.10 at Clonmel - which are top class times for one of her age

For the price we have secured this pup at we believe she represents 'huge' value for money - she wont event cost £2,000! - please bear in mind she has been competing against dogs who are making between - £12,000 and £20,000!

She will be arriving here next week at westview kennels - and she will be aimed at puppy open races
Phone me direct to discuss this young puppy more.

Lot 2

Another young pup we have secured for us at Westview Kennels is a terrifically well bred Jan 13 whelp pup - by the legendary 'Westmead Hawk'

His dam - 'Goes Wild' - has also bred top open race winners - including 'Neds Opinion' - recent flying 16.00 seconds open race winner at Perry barr - - 28.69 at Tralee - Goes Bang - 17.67 Nottingham.

This pup made his racing debut at one of Irelands toughest gallops Limerick - only 2 weeks ago -
Missing his break - he was crowded at traps but powered clear on the run to the bend.

From here he showed terrific pace down the back straight to leave his rivals trailing behind to win by over 8 lengths in a smashing time of 29.18 - he would have broken the 29.00 seconds only for missing his break.
We believe this pup has the ability to win top class races at Towcester and also could be aimed at Opens.

Both lots will be joining us here at Westview Kennels next week - Like lot 1 he is available at a very modest low four figure sum which with his proven open race breeding we believe is huge value.

Please phone me direct on 07885 632329 to discuss him further
